We're 162 pages into this thread...the pro-Key people have been making the case for their guy for some time. But since you asked... Let's see...I think the argument goes (in no particular order): he's a Tech man and understands the Institution; he talks (and dresses) like a REAL football coach...

Me, too. There could be several reasons for the silence, of course, but one of them is that the search is being performed correctly, IMO.

So, our 3*s are going to get beaten by their 4*s and 5*s. Unless we can get some 4*s or our 3*s are doing something that is not familiar to the other side and gives us the advantage of being better prepared to run our scheme than they are to defend against it. I think this is where I came in...

I get that this is a normal salary range for the top (even mid-level) programs. I'm just scratching my head at how much money coaches are being paid period. Not the university president. Not the head of a department. The coach.
