Yeah, I agree with this. You don't spend that many years working with really talented people without learning something about what it takes to succeed. Or having something that the HC sees in you. Saban and Gailey liked him, and I'm not in a position to question their judgement of his skillset.

Watching BK's postgame presser, it was clear that the coaching staff knew what it wanted to do and had to do to have a shot a winning, and the players bought into the plan and executed. I can't remember hearing a game plan articulated as clearly as that was. So, IMO, we have a coach who knows...

And I would have zero confidence in your ability to understand that ADJB had made an intelligent decision with full knowledge of all the facts about all the candidate options. I mean, just damn. You don't have all the facts do you? Outside ADJB and PAC, probably very few people actually do.

Not sure who ADJB will name in a couple weeks, but if it's not BK, I doubt we've seen the last of him. He obviously bleeds Old Gold & White, and if it takes a few years of seasoning somewhere else for him to get ready to take the non-qualified helm, so be it. He'll be back, and I daresay...

It's interesting that you say that, and it's something I've noticed over the years...most university alumni talk about when they "graduated". Military people and Tech grads talk about when they "got out". Strange, but true, IMO.

Good post. My only nit to pick would be on this point: Tech's "massive eggs" may have contributed to the spread, but they didn't contribute to UNC's #15 ranking. (Interim) Coach K has TWO wins against ranked opponents in their cribs.

That would leave us with BK, JC and the unknown candidate.
