not against Duke, Pitt and the elites. Taquon was running for his life on those numerous QB Keepers more often than not and people here complained about Sewak constantly.
yeah, PJ should've been able to out-scheme opponents in 2015 even though damn near 70% of the starters missed games due to injury! Just out-scheme 'em!!!
/massive sarcasm, btw.
fair pt but when your OL is as porous as ours, what are you gonna do? Thankfully, we're in the shotgun. Playing under-center behind our OL is suicidal.
Duke has destroyed us 5 of the past 6 years. At least we weren't death-marching down 3 TDs in the 4th qtr, like the joke of 2018 nor did we get blown out in the 2nd half like 2017.
No moral victories though. I guarantee our players aren't feeling anything great either.
PJ got out-coached the last half-decade vs Duke. We scored more pts today in year 1 of CGC's scheme than we did in year 11 at home of PJ's scheme. PJ was terrible gameday vs Duke. Death-marching down 21 pts in the 4th qtr last year was disgraceful.
Saban ain't out-scheming anyone with our line. Nor any other coach. We're at a huge fundamental disadvantage right now before we even kickoff. No way to get around it right now.
We're literally playing 2 walk-ons on the OL. Not sure why some people want to blame CGC for this.
It's been...how many years since we had WRs catch 7 passes in a game? Might they be the next Campbell/White/Watkins combo? And Graham rhymes with JoeHam!
and how much does it cost in time & money to drive around metro ATL and have a GT presence in area HSs? Because, according to many area HS coaches, there was no GT presence for the last decade, which is inexcusable.
We are now outsized by almost everyone though. We've gotten very small over the last decade yet were able to have the same amount of wins prior to that without being so FCS-sized. Plenty of teams have had terrible years not affect their recruiting, namely UF and UT. The doldrum years the...
I was one of the fans who saw us winning more games so there's definitely disappointment, esp. concerning the FCS loss but the UNC game at least showed that we're improving on the Offensive side of the football, in terms of executing this new scheme. It was also nice to see us NOT doing that...
