    Game 4 #GTvsWF Postgame

It's gotten pretty bad when I see the opponent's kickoff go well into our end zone and breathe a sigh of relief. How many of our runbacks this year have made it past the 25? Surely the coaches are noticing this.

    ACC Standings

Perhaps, but they have yet to play a conference game. Curious to see how Cuse does against their next three opponents - Clemson, UNC, and FSU.

    Game 4 #GTvsWF Postgame

My takeaways... The Good: 30 points and hanging on to win by two scores in the second half, on the road against an opponent favored to win. 5:1 turnover ratio. Defense bent but didn’t break. In an apparent response to coach Key’s criticism during practice, D-line played with high energy - 8...

GT @ Wake Kick Time: 6:30pm on the CW

That's odd. I believe you, but according to this, you should be ok. https://www.antennaweb.org/ If anyone wants to try the OTA route, that site is usually helpful.

    Win Total Predictions

I believe Stewart is still doing our kickoffs, and doing well at it. That's why it's such a head-scratcher that he suddenly lost his mojo on placekicking.

    Win Total Predictions

Our awful special teams ranking is dragged down by a couple of factors. It only uses FBS game data, so our performance in the SC St. game doesn’t count and the resulting sample size is so small that any single event has a large impact. Our placekicker’s initial 0/2 field goal attempts obviously...

Haynes King Update: How Do We Feel About Him?

No doubt. And I'd take EJ Manuael's rankings with a grain of salt. He was, after all, FSU's QB. Let's see...Jordan Travis...let's rank him at the top...gotcha.

    Question for y"all

Here's a "what if"...We are limited in live instruction and practice time, therefore it makes sense that Key initially picked a few areas of focus that he deemed critical, in the sense that they were very squeaky wheels. For example, last year there wasn't time to fix much in season, but I...

    Question for y"all

Yes, they do. I also recall they played a home-and-home with Miami a few years back.

    Question for y"all

May be unpopular, but I was on my soapbox debating for this viewpoint in another thread recently. We finished last year 4-4 in conference, ahead of 3 other teams in our division. Had we been in divisionless play last year, would have finished tied for 6th place (out of 14) with 3 other teams...

    Question for y"all

Correct. "Competing with any of these teams" is not the same as winning all of them. We should be competitive with them, but unless one or more has a really down year, we can't assume any of those games to be a gimme.

    Postgame GT 23 - Ole Miss 48

More of an observation rather than a prediction, but no one has mentioned that Key brought in a veteran coach to be co-defensive coordinator. Obvious choice for an interim guy if necessary. Just sayin'.

Game 4 Georgia Tech @ Wake Forest (-7)

I don’t think anyone is saying we should get awards for yards, TOP, and # of plays. Our failure to score when in scoring position in the first half cost us at least 6, and possibly 10 points. I doubt that was part of our plan. But it happened. Meanwhile, we limited Ole Miss possessions and they...

    Postgame GT 23 - Ole Miss 48

Agree it would have been significant if we had at least tied the game at half. Our D, however, failed at the "don't break" part in the second half, particularly in Q4.

    Postgame GT 23 - Ole Miss 48

I keep going back to our apparent lack of speed. Speed gives you momentum, which gives you hitting force. It also helps you position yourself for a proper tackle. When you're out of position and/or late getting to the ball carrier, you have to reach out with your arms. The result is often a...

    Postgame GT 23 - Ole Miss 48

Assuming it was deliberate, our offense was successful at ball control in the first half, limiting Ole Miss to just 3 or 4 possessions and 10 points. Unfortunately, we left 10 points on the field, else we would have had the lead at halftime. In the second half, we had to change pace after Ole...

Game 4 Georgia Tech @ Wake Forest (-7)

We did just that last Saturday, thus the high number of plays. Then in the second half after Ole Miss started to pull away, we had to score more quickly to have a chance to win. It also could have been a reflection of what the Ole Miss D was doing to stop us. I like to think it was a part of...

    Question for y"all

Your thoughts mirror mine almost exactly. I do think 6 wins is going to be a stretch, particularly after seeing some of the BC-FSU game. We should know a lot more about our team when we play a near-peer team in Wake.

    Question for y"all

Do you know if these guys are in the GTAA database? Because if they haven't ever donated or bought tickets, the GTAA may not know they exist. I've heard that the Alumni Association doesn't share its data with the Athletic Association. Not sure if that's still true. This doesn't preclude...
