Look at your original post. "I don't want us to change until it makes us better".... ??? How do you know whether a change or new wrinkle in the offense will help make you better or efficient until you try it?
Not trying to argue AE87 but we can swap stats and opinions all day. But ask...
My point exactly. Our defense has played a role and is a huge reason we are 6-3 right now instead of 4-5. Our defense has kept us in a few games this year while the offense that you rave about has been inept.
You are correct. It doesn't guarantee anything. However when you don't pass the ball much then you are going to be ranked low in pass rankings, like we are consistently. Between #110 and last. Thus running the ball 85% of the time you have no where to go but up in the rush rankings. We have...
I completely understand what you are saying. But regretfully I don't agree that our offense is as efficient as you suggest. Not only is this portrayed in Total Offense but in results in the Win column.
I will say that it has the capability to be unstoppable if executed correctly. Like it...
Although I want to agree with this... Its debatable. We have cracked the Top 20 in Total Offense just once during the CPJ era. That was in 2009.
When Friedgen was here we were much more efficient offensively IIRC. But either way its much better that the Gailey era.
However, we are ranked...
I agree. However, CPJ is very reserved when it comes to complimenting his own team or himself. He goes about it modestly. Imo, when he says we are fairly physical he believes we are a physical team.
When he talks about the opposing teams we play, his compliments are much less modest.
If we play death march football and do what we are supposed to (little to no turnovers with maybe 1 punt) then we can win.
If we play like we did against Pitt then its a loss.
Lol... the thread is on debate of stars and whether they matter... This is an open ended post on your part. I wasn't sure what point you were trying to make. I guess you were just posting it and you did not have a stance on the subject.
