Star ratings in turn determine the final overall class rankings.
I believe that there is not that much difference in talent level when comparing a Top 10 class to a Top 20 class... A little, sure. But not a lot. But a Top 10 class versus a class say in the 30's 40's 50's yes there is a...
I'm not advocating that stars mean everything. I'm only saying that stars mean something. I'm a firm believer that 2 star sleepers exist and so do 5 star flops. But when someone says stars don't matter or they don't mean anything... It's a very narrow minded comment imo.
I will try to answer your question like this... 1 and 2 both matter.
The point I was trying to make is the last time we were relevant in college football is when our best recruiting class in recent school history garnered the field.
Our Highest Rated recruiting Class in the last 10 years is below. Our best season in the last 10 years (2009 we went 11-3) was filled with these players. And a few others (Michael Johnson, Roddy Jones, Anthony Allen etc... all of them were high 3 stars at that). So... Do stars matter???
I don't think any team in the FBS relies on the star ratings of any recruiting service website... Every coach/team evaluates there own players that they chose to recruit. But star ratings do mean something. Whether accurate or not they mean something. I am sure there is some bolstering of...
You make some great points cheese but bottom line is that in the "Big" games Tevin was a bed wetter.
Vad is a RSoph. Tevin was a RSenior. Big difference. If you remember Tevin was not so great of a game manager his Soph. year.
For our offense I think Justin Thomas maybe be the best suited...
I said at the beginning of the year that if we held teams to 21 points or less then we would win and win often. However, our offense has imo under performed this year. Good execution is one thing. Penalty free execution is another. We need both against UGA and Clemson. Like what we saw...
I agree with this... And add that we land several "contributors" in recruiting and a small amount of BCS Play Makers... Sorry, just keeping it real guys.
Here's the thing... For every "project" that turns our good or bad, there is the same amount of "sure thing" players that pan out good or bad. Its a crap shoot.
And, not to mention we have had injuries to Isaiah Johnson, Jamal Golden, and Fred Holton was slotted as a starter before his debacle. So I am very impressed with what CTR has done thus far.
