The way he replies certainly isn't nice. So no, he is not following any rule except "I can be an *******, so I will be" rule. I like his candor, but there is no reason to respond to that question in that way. He went on to say some very generic stuff afterwards. Why not just start with that...

Indeed he did. I remember that distinctly. But he has to be a salesman for the program and drum up excitement. We can't point fingers at him for being a sour-faced coach who brings no excitement and then turn around and criticize him for trying to get people excited.

I beg to disagree. This whole thread came about, because our Offense is constantly attacked by detractors as being inferior. AE87 pulled out stats from common opponents to show that Clemson and GT are comparable. Except for the UGA game, where they had a bunch of injuries, I think the point...

I didn't make that generalization in my statement - you did. So the facts don't support YOUR assumption. Also, you see the angry tone because you want to see it. I just found the post a statement of fact. So please don't pass off your subjective judgement as fact.
