I remember thinking the same thing about Milton. PJ mentioned on the radio show yesterday about some bad checks on the D. Maybe this was one of those situations.
Forgive me for being honest. But in my eyes, the only person who is not impartial here is you. The mods will probably delete this and that's ok. Just wanted to put that out there
These are my observations after reviewing all your excellent videos.
1) VL seems to have a lot more missed reads
2) VL is a lot less decisive on his pitches
3) Seems like CPJ was not confident enough in VL to regularly run the triple. We ran a lot of fake triples last year, compared to none...
Rewatched that play. I don't think that's quite true. The DB had inside leverage and he was forced to go out of bounds. I do agree that he didn't make any attempt to cut back.
I was waiting for this one. Thanks Boom.
When I watched the tape, it seemed like the DL was mostly occupying the OL, leaving the LBs to make the tackle. They weren't able to get much penetration.
Except that's what we did - with the passing game. Passing is not banned in an option offense. Go watch the tape, it's pretty easy to see.
If you want to prognosticate doom and gloom, be my guest. But your reasons for the prognostication are incorrect.
I would just ignore. It's already been pointed out that considering the Snoddy pitch as a run play (instead of the official pass play) would invalidate this claim.
After watching the replay twice, I'm very pleased with JT in the passing game. Calm and collected, quick decision making, great arm strength and good pocket presence. Loved it. Keep it up, JT!
I'm encouraged by the surge the OL is getting. I was a bit worried, that the OL was not getting much push, but we pretty much blew them off the ball. With the box stacked though, it seemed like their LBs and DBs got us. That makes sense for a quick hitting play like the dive.
