I posted something very similar to this on another thread earlier this evening. There is NO better sports/entertainment value in Atlanta that Tech season tickets!
If they change the seating from bench to chair I don't think you'd have to physically downsize the stadium at all to get it into the 48-50K range. Looking at the average attendance figures that have been posted on here Tech would then be filling 90% or better of the stadium at those numbers
As you might has guessed I am a passionate fan :D When I sit down at BDS and see a crowd that is 25-30% opposing fans it tends to annoy me. I have griped for years about the lack of top flight marketing by Tech and it still annoys me. There is no greater sports value that a season ticket to Tech...
So what word would you use for not filling the stadium? Again 5.8 MM people vs 975K. You tell me why it can't be filled on a regular basis. Oh and BTW I am a SIDEWALK season ticket holder for 50 plus years so don't talk to me about the only Tech fans are alumni
I agree we are hitting similar issues, my original post re: USC was a fan base that supports a program faithfully no matter what kind of season they have and I wold kill to see that kind of passion at Tech. To me was too may Tech "fans" are fairweather and that drives me up the wall. No doubt...
Where did I say that I expect Tech to draw as many or more than USC? My point is they have a fan base that is a fan base that supports their team. Tech has a lip service fan base who gripes and bitches about game start times. 55 plus years ago I made a decision to support Tech and I can flat...
Boatload of excuses, a resident of Columbia can avail themselves of the exact same options with a 2 hour or so drive. 5.8 MM people and we can't fill a 55K stadium. Pure unadulterated garbage for a fan base that prides itself in its brand.
1986 vs 2016? Equal dollars? Don't think so. If federal programs are not available then there is less availability for the less fortunate, a lot(majority) of people afflicted with mental illness do not have any other resources available to them. So let's consign them to the trash heap and give...
Mental health programs have been slashed to bone over the last 30 years, just as homeless programs. We as a nation don't get a s**t about the less fortunate
He's averaging 21 yards/return. Our opponents are averaging 24.8. Looks to me if he's getting every yard he can given the opponent's # is inflated a bit by a 92 KO for a TD. A returner can't do s**t without a little blocking ahead of him.
BJS' #s for the VA game 6 UA tackles, 5 Assisted 11 total tackles, 1 TFL, 1 FF, 1 FR, I Int. He's going to be an All ACC performer, possible All American before it's all said and done.
Interesting, I guess I fell though the cracks then.
I have preached about a IPTAY type programs for a long time. It is money earmarked for the athletic programs and the concept set up a continual flow of money instead of waiting on the mega donors. Plus is has the advantage of being available...
@Augusta_Jacket , did they reach out you to be an A-T donor or did you initiate the process? As I said earlier I have NEVER been contacted by the GTAA. Now I will say the service I've received when I've called has been very good for the most part just to be fair.
As a sidewalk season ticket holding fan I have NEVER been called in regards to fund raising, I guess they're happy enough with my ticket purchase money............................
Don't talk to me about the A/T fund or roll call or the like. My money is reserved for the athletic programs. With...
