The more I read about the guy the more I like him.
1. Manget - Mr. Consistent
2. Golden - first threat to house a return in a long time
3. Gary Guyton - GG killed a Va Tech player on a punt return in his freshman year. It happened right in front of me so I'll never forget. it was the biggest hit I've seen in person.
Rich made some good assistant coach hires as well. Not sure about the assistants brought in at the other programs on the list, but obviously that is part of the equation.
If CBG took a hike, what's a realistic budget for a new coach when we still would have Hewitt on the books? Could we afford someone who would actually be an upgrade?
Smelter made a living coming back to the ball to bail out JT. I don't know if that was instinct or what, because we rarely have anyone coming back toward the LOS when passing plays break down.
