  1. 2014-2016-2017

Smelter could destroy single-coverage. He made guys still getting pay checks in the NFL look silly. With Waller we had a credible corner route. We hit that at least twice in the Orange Bowl and I thought to myself "where has that been for the past eight years". Unfortunately, with the exception...
  2. Interesting stat

We also had quite a few players dismissed for "violation of team rules".
  3. Pace of Play - MLB Rule Changes

I'd be a fan of making every reliever face a minimum of two batters and limiting the number of mound visits. I'd also limit the amount of pickoff attempts but I'm sure setting that at a finite number gives the base runner a huge advantage.
  4. Joe Hamilton being inducted into Atl HoF

He did an interview on Chuck and Chernoff. I can't find the audio but it was basically along the lines of "If you meet NCAA minimum requirements you can get into Tech. You don't have to be a genius. O'Leary was successful because he had good players" I'm butchering the paraphrase, but I guess...
  5. CPJ and CNW

Seriously, bowl games are crap shoots, as anyone who's ever done a bowl pick'em knows. All about who wants to be there and who came to play.
  6. Tech Kicker Commit Who Flipped to Bama

Should be absolutely illegal and result in lost scholarships, in my opinion.
  7. 3-4 one gap defense

Watched the Rams defense on Thursday night. Sure wish Aaron Donald and Robert Quinn lined up for us. Can't wait to see an aggressive D on the flats. (Yes, the Falcons scored well, but keep in mind the Rams gifted the Falcons with two early turnovers. Could have been worse).

http://grantland.com/features/hard-knocks-playing-defense-with-tcus-gary-patterson/ I really like how Gary Patterson challenges himself to call defensive plays in six seconds, not randomly, but based on tendencies and trying to call a better play. Chad Glasgow had only one year with Texas Tech...
  9. Gameday!!-!!!!!!!!

Radio just interviewed PJ. I don't know if I've ever heard him as flabbergasted. Would not want to be a defensive player in that halftime.
  10. Who is your GT Fantasy Football Coach?

Texas, with all of its resources, is *never* a 4 year rebuild.
  11. BjS- am I wrong. He has never played .. Can u say player

If we stack the box to stop the run and Fromm beats us, I'll tip my cap (with vomit in it, of course) to the young QB. Can't let UGA run all over us if we can help it.
  12. Just heard Tstan on 680

I listened to the same interview. It was a bad question by Chuck Oliver. Just exactly what would you like the AD to say? “Georgia Tech can win nine or 10 games (in a season), but they will never do it consistently.” That was Dave Braine. Competing for championships would mean finishing in the...
  13. Players choice

Considering we send an A-Back in motion across the formation about 90% of the time that we pass (when in our Run and Shoot package) it's not like we don't have other tells that we are passing.
  14. Clemson Postgame Discussion

I didn't get to catch the game, had to constantly refresh it on online to get score updates. Is there any reason to watch it?
  15. Question About Pass Pro...

Keep in mind that we marry our spread option attack, which takes a ton of practice time, to the Run and Shoot offense...which takes a ton of practice time. Something has to give.
  16. Path to the Coastal

Worry about Clemson. If we can win out, even if Miami wins out we'll still have a chance to ruin UGA's season. There are worst fates than a New Year's Six invite.
  17. Wake Forest Postgame Discussion

I wonder if Harvin could handle kickoff duties. This year looks a lot different with reliable place-kicking. I did not see that second half coming and was glad I was around for it. Definitely think the game got chippy at the end, especially with Wake calling their timeouts.
  18. Miami Postgame

5 straight bubble screens without adjusting. 5.
  19. Paul fine bomb

We could be really good, like nine or ten wins, beat Miami and Georgia good, and still lose to Clemson by multiple TDs. That team is not like the Auburn team that rode Cam Newton to a National Championship. They are flat out stacked, especially on defense.
  20. UNC Postgame

I tend to agree that when you are at the goal-line, if you can run it in for the score there's no reason to do anything else. When you do throw it it's usually a fade to the corner with your tallest receiver or any situation where only your guy can get it. I think the Seahawks would have been...
