  1. Fall Camp Thread

I for one am glad GT football has this kind of "problem".
  2. Film Room Confuse the Offense

Love this discussion. IMO, this is what makes this board better than the others as it is less juvenile humor and more actual football discussion. For someone who never played the game but is an avid fan, I appreciate the knowledge.
  3. Preseason Depth Chart

The last time I think we tried a Power I was in 2009 (Clemson Game 1) and I believe it was blown up.
  4. PT for Lucas Johnson

Our OL has played without backup for the past ten years.
  5. Hypothetical QB question

In an older version of Paul Johnson's playbook, the advice on the Triple Option was to "Pitch, Pitch, Pitch, until the defense takes that way from you". I think the offense works best when the QB is a distributor and not keeping the ball. JT rarely had more than 15 rushing attempts per game...
  6. PT for Lucas Johnson

Tennessee, Virginia, Miami, Duke, what was the fifth one? I can't really count Duke because losing by 23 isn't so much "blowing a lead" as it is a pitiful performance. UGA and Clemson was a curb stomp from start to finish.
  7. Top 5 Tech games you have seen of all time

For the ones I actually attended (this will be my tenth year with season tickets). Sadly, I have never witnessed a GT win over UGA in person: Miracle on North Avenue (FSU 2008): The swings of this game. From being up handily to watching helplessly as FSU is about to drive in for the go-ahead...
  8. Redshirt Changes

I doubt any program would hold a scholarship for a player like that.
  9. Spring Practice

Can't say that I've always adhered to that statement...
  10. Who is your Favorite Tech Player

I'm gonna give a mention to Deandre Smelter. Dude was a baseball transfer to the football team who made guys still playing in the NFL look silly. And he wasn't that strong or fast, just a ridiculously good catcher and route runner.
  11. CPJ Comments on Contract Extension

I'm not sure if that was meant to be sarcastic, but I wasn't asking what a CSV file was. I was asking how to upload one to the forum (or if it was even possible). I calculated the statistics for Red Zone offensive efficiency minus field goals and wanted to "show my work". (For those wondering...
  12. CPJ Comments on Contract Extension

Those stats also include field goals made as a red zone score, which really just means you had a half-decent kicker and didn't turn the ball over. For example, Wake Forest kicked 18 field goals in the red zone. Take that away, and they only converted a touchdown on 63% of their red zone...
  13. CPJ Comments on Contract Extension

The flip side of this is watching a shotgun team on the goal line line up in the Gun. Sure its "what they do", but it adds five yards to the distance to go and completely takes away the threat of the QB sneak. PJ's teams are pretty much money on the goal line minus fumbles.
  14. Impact of CNW on the offense

It would only be the fourth year in a row, if that happens.
  15. Pat Swilling Interview 92.9

Nice interview. Wish I heard more of these on sports radio as that was really great content. - Talked about the schools they looked at - Talked about how the game of NFL changed (in terms of toughness/hitting) - On PJ - showed he can win with the offense. Tough offense to defend. Wore VT out...
  16. Spring Practice

One of the best "You're wrong" posts I've seen. That should teach me for not checking my "facts" while goofing off at work.
  17. Spring Practice

Woody coached D at The Citadel which ran basically the same O. It's not a situation he hasn't been in before.
  18. Brad Stewart's final year

Not to pour gas on a fire, but the drop at the end of the Miami game hurt. Probably ice the game if he reels that one in. Of course there were many other plays that led to that result.
  19. TaQuon Marshall Highlights

Fixed it for you. One of the worst performances I've ever seen. Made Duke (a team that lost to army) look like the New England Patriots.
  20. What do all these analysts do?

Something like this? http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/an-inside-look-at-jon-grudens-game-plan/ Relevant now that Gruden is coaching the Raiders.
