FYI: noticed after the ACC slate was put on the schedule that we have a Jan. 28 engagement with Morehouse to give us a 31 game schedule. A breather between ACC games.

What a nice dilemma to finally have. I've mentally batted around the minutes and who plays, also. Not easy, good luck to CJP. With Usher out until mid December, gives several players time to prove their cases. And glad that the powers that be didn't wait until the season began to give the okay...

FYI: Ga. Southern is also part of the multitude of teams playing the various Spaniard teams. Played them last week. Southern (which should be very good this season) won all 3 or 4 games by double digits.

Should be interesting. Kentucky, of course loses all of its main players short of the PG. But, of course, has 4 top 100 guys coming in (top ones are ESPN's 12 and 13). Maybe we can play them before they gel. We will have Usher eligible a few days before that, so that will help. And the jury's...

From what I have gathered, unless he gets a waiver, which he has applied for, he would be eligible after Dec. 12 when 1st semester finals are officially over.

Oddly enough the 3 pt stripe news may be not so bad for Tech since (for a change) we have two shooters coming in who can hit regularly from that range. Could affect a lot of shooters whose limits are the present line.

Out of curiosity would Usher and/or Parham be able to play? This isn't regular season, even though we haven't heard on their waivers, and probably won't until the season begins. Also at least Usher is in school, and Parham may be this summer.

A note: Bubba hit 35 points against Kentucky this season, when VMI, not too good a team, only lost by 10 points. He shot 10-16 from 3 pt. land. And he was just a sophomore. Wow. I guarantee he will be getting a lot of minutes.

We played two starting frosh, 2 sophs and one junior most of the game. Let them mature. Also, at least Wright has turned into the PF that CJP was hoping for.

Great win at NC St, their senior night and they're shooting for the big dance. One of the better Tech games I've seen in a long time, and with both big men dominating. Good playing on both sides making fun to watch. Won with only one three-pointer, and it was from Wright. This all bodes well for...

I see Usher playing as a SF, stretching to a PF when needed. We need scoring at SF and his size will be a plus. But it will depend on how well he adjusts to our defensive arrangement. That's what has kept Sjolund and others on the bench recently.
