    Over/under on sacks

You are correct sir. I guess I am making the statement that pressure is more important. Obviously, if we get that, then the other numbers, including sacks, will improve.

    Over/under on sacks

Put me in the camp that is more concerned about consistent pressure vs actual sack totals. Obviously sacks are great. They are drive killers. However, just think about the number of times you saw a QB drop back last year and look all day without pressure, picking us apart in the process. I want...

    Fan Day 2015 Roll Call!

I'll probably get there 45 minutes before the gates open, spend a half hour with you all and then go stand in line.

    Fan Day 2015 Roll Call!

I'll be there. Same place. Lower deck is nice because it is in the shade.

    Best and Worst Case Record

Not that bad an article or analysis. The success or failure of this team will most likely revolve around DL and O skill positions and how they progress / reload. The one comment that I resoundly reject ( and I hear it all the time) was the one about suffering an unlikely loss to Miami or...

AJC: Georgia Tech’s Shamire Devine ‘close-ish’ on weight goal

If any of you have not seen that film, you should find it and watch. That was some impressive stuff. Most of those drills were set up ridiculously favoring the pass rushers. By a wide margin, Shamire was the most impressive OL of the bunch.

AJC: Georgia Tech’s Shamire Devine ‘close-ish’ on weight goal

I don't mind saying it. I think Shamire is the most gifted OL player we have had in my 35 years as a fan. Before you laugh, give me a name of someone more so. True, he has only played a part time role to date and doesn't nearly have the career numbers etc. In a sense, he has accomplished next to...

    JHD cleared to play !!!

The life lesson learned by Mr. Hunt far outweighs any enjoyment we might derive out of watching him disrupt opposing offenses. BUT, it is still great for us too!!!! For whatever little it is worth, I am proud of you young man, for seeing this thing through. Please just remember, you did this for...

AJC: Georgia Tech’s Shamire Devine ‘close-ish’ on weight goal

Agreed. Personally, I am not that worried about Devine's weight per se. His body size is one of his strengths and allows him to get the tremendous movement out of DLs that he does. I worry about his level of conditioning and ability to move. Maybe he HAS to take off some weight for those to...

    Who are our 1-8s ?

This is as good a synopsis as I have seen. I am not as sure about #8, but I am with you the rest of the way. I like Philpott, a lot as it turns out, but placing him at #8 is a bit oiptimistic.

    The forgotten man

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I think 1000 yds is a tough ask. I am not at all worried about the psycological side to recovery from his leg fracture. However, ABs really don't get the carries necessary to compile those kinds of yards. 1000 yds combined rushing and receiving might even be a...

B Back Transfer - Patrick Skov

I feel pretty sure whatever CPJ just said to the media in regards to Skov has already been said to the kid in person. He knows he is not being handed the position.

    Running Right vs Running Left

All these OL discussions, specifically relating to replacing Shaq, got me thinking. Generally speaking, our offense goes to the side that the numbers dictate, if the QB does his job right with the pre-snap reads. We often hear about how we don't know what direction the play will go or who will...

OL Competition: Players 5 through 11

There are always so many good storylines heading into fall camp, with position battles and so forth. The OL is one of those. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out. The one thing we have going for us right now is continuity. We have one huge pair of shoes to fill and plenty of...

Article on why J.Thomas is best QB in ACC

I loved it when Musberger said in kind of a dead pan way "they just can't stop it folks". To me, that line said it all. He may not understand what we are doing on offense, but he made it clear MSU didn't either. Truly elusive ball carriers freeze people. That is exactly what happened on that...

    DL Discussion

The other depth chart thread was intended for guys carrying the rock. It seems discussion started to surround the DL situation. That discussion needs to be had. It may be the most important in terms of our team moving forward. After all, if would be very difficult, if not impossible, for our...

Does the SEC need to get a life?

Good article. Interesting though, how it never even touches on what favorable treatment the conference has gotten from the press. In my mind, that is the biggest joke of all, the voting and rankings sham, year after year.

from JOL, audio interview with Justin Thomas

I agree with you, but the biggest thing to me is how he sounds mature beyond his years. Quite a young man we have calling signals!
