What a story! Unbelievable journey. Great kid. https://www.ajc.com/sports/college/abdoulaye-gueye-inspiring-tech-career-drawing-close/rydDkEHbQEE8xhvxUNUnlK/
  2. Northwestern

It’s becoming apparent—already this early in the season—that Kyle McCann is an able replacement for Joey Bart at the catcher position.
  3. Thank you, Paul

Well, nearly all coaches in all sports tend to mellow with age. This is true for nearly all old folks in all walks of life, too. I know I’m a lot more mellower — and wiser— now. LOL
  4. Ogbonda, Gueye and Alson are leaving ...

https://www.ajc.com/sports/college/ogbonda-alston-play-final-home-game-tech-sunday/XCY4NVfrdvNhPXdea8yzeL/ Great story. Good kids, too! I wish them the best in their futures.
  5. Thank you, Paul

  7. Bebe arrested ...

Article also states one of his two passengers was seriously injured. Beyond bad. I truly hope he learns a vital lesson from all of this.
  8. Optimistic about the defense? Why?

They have also had the misfortune of playing Vanderbilt a few times, too. LOL
  9. Bebe arrested ...

Well, driving over 70 mph — twice the posted speed limit — in downtown Denver is a seriously stupid thing to do. And without proof of insurance, to boot.
  10. Thank you, Paul

To answer your last question, no, absolutely not. CPJ was his own on-field offensive coordinator during the games, and he was a master at his craft. As to whether the same can be said of CGC if he had been on the Orange Bowl sideline coordinating and calling his defensive team’s defensive sets...
  11. Optimistic about the defense? Why?

The biggest factor, I think, is the fact that for the first time in 12 years our defense will be practicing and scrimmaging against a shotgun-formation spread offense constantly and consistently all through the football practices, from the spring to the fall to the actual regular season football...
  12. Thank you, Paul

Yep. CPJ whupped CGC’s vaunted MSU defense in the 2014 Orange Bowl, and the fact that CGC was not there on the sidelines does not matter one bit. CGC built and coached that defense during all of that regular season before he left prior to the bowl game.
  13. Brad Stewart earns acc postgraduate scholoarship

    Congratulations to Brad! Well deserved.

  15. Getting out there, being out there, consistently.

Well, ol Geoff Collins better win a lot, a lotta football games to back up his marketing acumen. We will see how it goes over the next five years.
  16. Thank you, Paul

I remember the NCAA changed the rules to prevent an on-field substitution like the one ‘Ol CPJ cooked up for that play against Clemson shown the video above. Seems like lots of coaches (Dabo included) hated getting outsmarted by CPJ, and whined about it enough to get the rules changed. Also...
  17. So what did Joseph do?

Good grief. Looks like AD’s management of human resources under his purview may be lacking in some respects. Never a good thing.
