Does anyone have stats as to what our personnel package percentages was? My gut feeling is that we used TEs a lot last year to block, and were really hurt early by COVID basically wiping out that position group.
Hoping our O-line play solidifies to the point where we don't need a TE to shore up...
The best thing about catching a GA State game is $4 tall boy beers.
Turner field had a massive footprint as the Olympic stadium, and was always off as a baseball stadium because of it. The nose bleeds in right field tell that story. The football field is has the sarcophagus of that stadium all...
Pitt was a scrimmage. On 4 days rest and down considerable defensive depth at that point. Didn't charlie Thomas start at defensive end? Of course we couldn't stop the run.
Last year was a weird year. Looking forward to this one.
Ironically enough, that game was one of Simms highest rated...
If you're a Top 25 recruiting team, with average coaching you should be around a Top 25 program.
I would be *estatic* if Tech could get back into the Top 25 discussion. Reasonably sure we haven't been there since Week 3 of 2015.
Gibbs is going to get plenty of touches if he's healthy. Our running back depth should mean that we won't have to run him into the teeth of the defense (that's Mason's job).
Not a football savant, but hopefully an improved O-line means we can replace a TE for a RB at times. Pulling a WR and...
I give you props for attending that game. I feel like there were maybe 17 tech fans in the entire stadium.
COVID restrictions were *much* more relaxed. Could have stood to open up another set of stands.
Thought both Edwards and Tatum looked good. Think they see the field this fall. We...
NFL teams don't always carry a full 2 deep at O-line, so showing film that you can slide inside is never a bad thing. I consider this to be like pitching in baseball and a good "problem" to have. I have a feeling it will work itself out.
This is an interesting time to make this argument as the NFL is now embracing more dynamic playmakers over the traditional pocket passers of the day. But I'll bite.
Sims averaged about 12 carries a game last year, with NC State (17) and UCF (16) being the highs. Duke was the best performance...
Keep in mind there was a lot of attrition to start the 2014 season. Didn't hurt the 2014 team much, but left the cupboard bare for 2015. Sprinkle in the injuries and...
Reminds me of an article Richard Sherman wrote a few years ago where he brings up the toughest receivers he's played against. Mentions how speed isn't everything (or Usain Bolt would be playing) but how that speed is used...
I don't remember where I read it, but back against citadel they tried to scheme an alignment where it was illegal block the corner backs. Not a football genius, but think that ended up back firing when they got the ball to the perimeter.
With that said...the biggest reason for the loss to the...
