If you total the weights for all, there is an 83 lb difference.
Folks on this board are talking like there is a huge discrepancy. Heights are relatively the same and I have no measurement of wingspan. So no, I do not see a big difference. Yes, overall a small advantage Carolina, but to...
From the program at the Tech - Carolina game, here are the numbers for linemen.

Carolina

M McKethan 6-7 332

I pulled out the program I bought at the Carolina game. You can make of the numbers what you will, but to my eye there is not a big difference in size between teams. Carolina had heavier offensive linemen which has been discussed frequently on this board.
I could not figure a good way to...
In the Philanthropy Quarterly from Tech it spells out the athletic goal of raising $125M over the next couple of years. Looks like the effort is ahead of schedule with around $90 already. This is the "Initiative 2020".
Nothing slated for recruiting though.
Can you imagine the chaos if Ugag loses a couple of more and UF wins the east?
Their schedule is KY, UF, Auburn and A&M.
Uncle Lou would be entertaining to watch after a couple of more losses.
smokey, thanks for your response. Not sure what level my complaining has attained, but I am very disappointed in the season so far.
midtown, I am not sure why you would find it delusional for fans to complain about the worst season in decades. (So far, things could turn around and I would...
How often were the prognosticators wrong about Tech? But that is not the point of this post.
Still not sure about being a hater or bad fandom.
As a fan, I "hate' it when Tech loses. I hate it when my family sits in blistering noon games and sees Tech lose to a team with less talented...
Agree with number two above. Most impressive this season is the fight and heart shown by the players. Credit the players and coaching staff for keeping the team focused and playing hard despite adversity.
Great post and timely.
I respect the effort it takes to play ball and compete in the classroom at Tech. These men are impressive individuals and athletes. I wish nothing but the best for each member of the team.
If I understand your post correctly, I saw none of that in the preseason. I did not realize he told his players they were going to have a throwaway season. And had them buy in. That is impressive. Especially with the Juniors and Seniors.
I thought he was impressing on then an how he was...
Not sure what prompted the tweet, but as I recall during the summer, there were high expectations from this board. And I believe from the players. Personally, I expected 6-6.
Now, anyone who questions the teams performance is now a hater. And a "bad" fan.
As a team, they have to stay...
As a long suffering Tech fan, I desperately want this staff to succeed. I will continue to attend games. I will continue to contribute. I will try not to throw players under the bus.
But will ask questions this morning. Did South Carolina beat uGag with a less talented team? If...
I have tried to convince myself the team has improved since Citadel. Unfortunately, I have not.
The offense is ranked at the bottom of the ACC in total offense. I would like to say that the passing game has gotten better but Tech is ranked last in passing.
The defense is above only FSU...
I am with CGC, but please show improvement on the field, not just saying so in the press conference.
Success is winning football games. You can talk the talk, please walk the walk. By any statistic on offense or defense, we fans are not seeing anything to convince us success is going to come.
