Don't disagree with the rule, but why did he say the official told him the clock starts on the snap in his post game interview. Did the ref he said he heard mis speak or did he screw up?
After cooling of both from the heat today and my disgust of one of the worst games in the past 40 years, Tech has some serious issues. And in no particular order
1. Kicking. Need a 5 star place kicker. Neither we have now are what Collins would call "elite".
2. At halftime I went on record...
Jackets win in another low scoring game, 24-6. My expectation is the defense holds El Cid to 2 field goals after turnovers. The fourth quarter is scoreless.
This forum is still yammering about who the starting quarterback should be. But love the youngsters on defense.
I just watched the first half of the USF game courtesy of GT Bob. Oliver in my opinion was the best of the QBs. He led the team to the only two scores.
He is a gamer. Not to dis any of the QBs, but he looked the best in the first half. Will be interesting to see how the game goes tomorrow.
My drive by comment on this one:
Not so sure about this. Not that I ever played center, but I did take snaps under center and that can be difficult. Any deviation in movement by either the center or QB can screw it up.
I would think it easier to snap to the quarterback in the shotgun...
Interesting to me is how few are ATL this week. Starting to look like just the first string rather than those who will play this week.
Or perhaps this is because the performance last week did not meet the coaches expectations. As in, "you played like crap and you will have to work your way...
Now that you mentioned it, I do not recall seeing Buzz. Please don't get rid of Buzz. That would be a real Buzzkill. Pun intended
I did see Bobby Cremins sitting in the East Upper deck. He looks great and enjoyed all the attention.
Looked more like a tackle from the side.
The officials were not going to call holding.
They had plenty of opportunities, I believe neither offensive lines got a holding call on Saturday. I find it interesting now that if the offensive player is holding the defensive player with his hands...
Great point!
A white out early in the season makes sense. There was a Miami game years back that was a whiteout. It was freezing and the wind blew. I ended up putting a white t shirt over my winter coat, because who has a white parka? I recall it was not a very successful "whiteout".
Not trying to pick a fight Gold1, but depending on the score, there are many stadiums that empty after halftime. Especially the student sections.
I know you are young and the heat is not a big deal. And it was less of a big deal when I was in my 20s and 30s. So yes, us older folks suffer...
