Me? I can take close, well-played losses. But the kind of lopsided pitching and defense on display in the last week has shaken my confidence in this year's team. I sincerely hope I am dead wrong.

Mercer meanwhile is quietly putting together a heckuva season, as they are now 15-1 after a weekend blitzing of St. Peter's by double digits in every game. They nudged us by one run and they also beat FSU mid-week in their only games vs P5 teams.

Interesting result last night as Georgia State took down Clemson in Clemson, 6-1. Sounds like Georgia State is a pretty tough out this year. They are 11-6 now, with 4 of those L's being a series sweep loss on the road vs Florida and their midweek loss to us.

Yeah, I was concerned as well when I heard him speak post-game about Simpson. Let's hope he is just planning for the worst "just in case".

This softball team may be 0-6 in the ACC but they were swept by two Top 20 teams and the games were close and competitive. Now they get this win...maybe it's a breakthrough for this team. Certainly looks like the arc of the program is headed in the right direction! Excited for the ladies.
