Not really - our payout is based on the whole league. We get a share of what the ACC gets -not what we earn ourselves. The issue is really internal - recruiting and how to judge the progress of a head coach in BB
OK - I thought we had recruits on OV at games this year but could well be wrong. Regardless, I am sure the Cheetah closes on every day we don't have a home game so the NCAA restriction make sure it won't happen again.:banghead::(
I have heard/read the same thing. If you are an away team you like seeing Teddy as he will make calls that others won't - doesn't have the home cooking rep. But on the other side he most certainly does have the potential of going on an agenda during a game against anyone or either team. Kind...
Good win. didn't get a chance to see it but the highlites this AM on Packer/Durham focused on outside shooting by the Jackets which is great. Also the box score shows a positive Moore sighting which is really good news. Seeing if he can close strong may be the biggest thing getting ready for...
There are more teams that operate with 7 players than operate with 10 or even 9. It would be good to have another reliable body but IMHO our issue is more needing one dynamic wing scorer
We are close in games primarily as we are a good defensive team and generally play at a pace that isn't going to let other teams run us out of the building - aka big deficits. And it is no small feat to get a team to play hard on the defensive end night after night.
On the offensive side...
Cuse - you are correct about SYR and it is a fine line not to take/use that as a way to minimize what Moses did. You still have to play hard and skilled enough to take advantage of a mismatch which he did - and Banks really didn't despite the fact he was very good at sealing defenders in the...
Understand your point but I would get excited about the NIT for the players if no other reason. And would "compartmentalize" that versus any feelings about coaching situation or otherwise where I had hoped for more than the NIT this year.
DeVoe shoots an ungodly percentage from the field. As a guard he is 4th in shooting percentage in the league at 47% behind 3 bigs (including Moses).
The issue for us is we are last in the ACC in 3 point shots made per game. While he shoots a high percentage, DeVoe is 15th in the ACC in 3...
If it is all/mostly about money then TX wins in a boatrace. If he took a ton of cash out of Cleveland and isn't motivated that way as much then we have a shot if TS could put together a real commitment to BB. I have hope but an expectation it is a year early for us to think about this.
I don't think Saban's issue was coaching pros per se. His issue was Drew Brees didn't end up in Miami. Regardless, the NBA is a different animal. Between the 24 second clock, extreme travel schedule with limited practice time and almost everyone on the team (not just the QB) making more than...
Yep - we had openings but didn't adjust. The rocket passes to Cole were not going to get it done. I felt sorry for him trying to catch some of those things. Couple of other observations specific to the game:
Usher was the one who really had a bad game. I can't believe they only have him...
Not sure he has to take the most shots of anyone but he for sure has to be active and a threat at the FT line. And I too like him there more than our other options. Good things happen if they have to adjust to him there. Guards dig back on him - open shots for DeVoe/Jose and driving lanes for...
Dang - been a while since I have been so viciously attacked  So let me return with a left hook ;) Actually interesting thoughts - my reaction though is I don't see us winning an offensive shootout with anyone - even a sieve of a 2-3 zone. So I guess either we have to find a way to...
