    Georgetown Shirt Swap

We did something like that last fall before COFH IIRC -- a trade-in program for anything red or black. I guess I don't fully understand how a Georgetown student could wear Cuse (sorry, Cuse!! ;) or Nova anyway. I cannot even begin to imagine wearing anything ugag on the Tech campus. Have they...

    Next Man Up - OL

Very atypical for a football player, but pure GT. We won't be seeing tweets about "not being here to play school" from him. More power to him.

    Georgia Tech player to transfer

Honest question, especially for those of you who have played. How do kids really feel about redshirting? Of course they all want to see the field and play from the get-go. But do any of them appreciate, or even want, the additional learning, conditioning, development time a redshirt offers...

    Freeman big jump

I really, really feel for Jabari. We all know how hard it is to make A's at GT. It's even harder when you're past your second year, and you need even more of them -- just a couple of good classes won't do the job any more at that point. You have to ace nearly everything. :(

Will GT win 10+ games next season?

Emphatically yes ... If and only if the guys keep the sense of family, trust, brotherhood, love and playing for each other that they had last year. I think they will, from everything I've read. The leaders who have graduated are being replaced with the next group of leaders, who seem to have...

    Atlanta Natives, little help

Ditto. I-20 straight through. Pay attention to the lane markings and signage as you go through the interchanges with 285 (both in and out) and with the connector. Other than that you should be speed limit+ the whole way.

Thanks, Eric. That is very helpful in helping me keep it straight.

    Moving on..

I see your point, but do 16 and 17 year olds even much worry about 3 years out? I didn't. I'd rather opposing recruiters be able to say that, than have them say "He's gone in 1, who you gonna play for then?" I was in my late teens in the early Triassic so yeah, the memory isn't real clear...

Do you believe m bob or not about our options

I can. That said, if that were to happen we would have an NIT appearance and two more years off the buyout burden. I'm with RamblinRed. Suck it up, keep CBG three years, pay off the foul buyouts and then have the money to rebuild the program solidly and properly. Three years of eating...

    Confirmation BG Will Be Retained

Is hiring an assistant(s) -- especially offensive-minded one(s), especially superb late-game strategy one(s) -- a viable option? Is this something we could do?

    Northeast Recruiting

Apologize if this is stupid question ... Who on our staff handles this area?

Is GT Basketball a Good Job?

This exactly. We need someone with a fire in their belly, who wants to take on a tough challenge and prove to himself, along with everyone else, that he can do the job and then some. Most folks understandably make lots of calculations in deciding on a career move. That's fine; we all do. At...

Young Georgia Tech fan sends team letter about hating UGA

I see your point too, but it ought to be easy enough to check out. Do we have a male alum, last name Lorish, and did the note have a return address? I personally prefer to think it's real. ;)

    Kudos to GT training staff

I too am sorry to hear what happened to your daughter, but very, very glad to hear she's being well taken care of even if she is not on athletic scholarship. I will assume she will be able to use the training facilities and guidance of the staff to rehab, too. This is a wonderful story to hear...

    So what coach interviewed today??

I too defer to Eric, but continuity and cohesion of the coaching staff is just vital to success, on the field, off the field, with the kids, with each other, with the staff, in recruiting. I see CMP as an integral part of this, especially as well as he did in the chicken salad department last...

Oh, and don't forget how bad of prep it is for the pros and how you'll get passed over for a chance in the league. ;)

Photos Orange Bowl Game Photos 12/31/2014

John, absolutely beautiful photos. Thanks for them. Far better than anything I see in the "traditional" media. If you don't already do this for a living, you should think about it.

    GT Student Athlete Career Fair

Dtm1997, thanks for posting these pics. Really cool that the GTAA does this for them, and kudos to Yandle for getting it covered. Spent too much time in dress clothes in my working life -- all are horribly uncomfortable. Not made for muscular young men, that's for sure. Some of those suits...
