No problem. I didn't know that "myth" was still going around.I was referring to the myth that we don't have girls at GT. Never mind, poor joke execution on my part.

I have confirmed with sources that RB Donovan Wilson plans to transfer from Georgia Tech...I was told one of the main reasons is due to playing time and where he is on the depth chart.
Too bad. I had hopes for him. But one thing ought to be clear by now, you have to have patience to work yourself into the starting lineup at Tech.Guessing he's wishing he didn't transfer now? Could have had a solid role in '15.

Whereas now in Athens, the most he can ever expect to be is a mop up back in a few gimme games. He wanted to follow a dream that he should have known from the start did not have a happy ending. Also heard he wanted to be closer to home.
You can put Brendan Douglas in the same category. Probably would be our starting BB right now.
I assume that had he wanted he could have stayed on scholarship until the end of the spring semester, and it would be a shame to give up an entire semester of schooling. Too bad, but as with all of them the harsh realities of competitive sports is to get playing time one has to earn playing time. Competition can be a brutal mentor. From what I gather he will not be in classes when they start on Monday...What his plans are after that I do not know.
Searcy is at ABack.Does this open the door for one of the Austin twins to move to A back or maybe Searcy? Maybe making the decision for Cooper a bit clearer?
Only the coachable ones can see the benefit of redshirting. The ones that are more competitive (and less long-sighted) in nature will tend to want the earlier challenge and tend think that they are already good enough. When you are a true freshman, that senior year feels like it will never come.Honest question, especially for those of you who have played. How do kids really feel about redshirting?
Of course they all want to see the field and play from the get-go. But do any of them appreciate, or even want, the additional learning, conditioning, development time a redshirt offers? Do any look forward to being truly dominating in a rSr year and be willing to skip a year of playing earlier to be able to achieve that?
Just something I've always wondered (I've never played team sports).
