That is the type of decision making reflective of someone without any background as an AD from a school with a football team. What nobody has come out and said was that his first choice was to leave on August 1, 2016 using wooden ship replicas from the Roman Navy with the GT players rowing...

Bring in a person with ties to GT that understands the school and mission of the Institute. I'm thinking this might be the perfect opportunity to snare Darryl Richards who I believe is working at Clemson with our previous and equally as lame AD. He would be a great choice and represent the...

    Other football fans are clueless

GT has to keep finding those type of kids that want to compete at a high level like Gotsis and Justin Thomas who can handle the academics too. These 4 and 5 stars kids for the most part don't have the desire or the right stuff to hang academically at GT. Justin Thomas has already graduated and...

    Other football fans are clueless

Better recruiting; Recruiting Differences; Recruiting Guru's; Talent Differential. It all adds up to "Stars Recruiting" in my opinion. That's what I garnered from reading this thread. Just thought I'd add to the discussion. Give me 85 more just like that NFL 2nd Round Draft Choice Adam...

    Other football fans are clueless

Let's make it even simpler: Whoever wins the final recruiting rankings ought to be immediately Crowned the National Championship Game Winner and given the Dr. Pepper Trophy. I love the "Stars Recruiting System!" Then every team can just play the regular season games for fun since the rankings...

    Official Offseason Thread

For the first time there is some quality depth on the D-Line, but the O-Line will need to step it up big time this year and stay healthy as it's rather thin in both depth and experience. Chris Griffin being healthy will certainly help out and I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that he will...

    Ireland

@Supersizethatorder-mutt Thanks for the response. I remember for the Miami game back in the dark days of Chan some alum hired a bus that left from Coral Gables to the Orange Bowl and that worked out real well. That was in addition to the win before they tore the place down. I'll give Tech a...

    Ireland

For those of us going to the game that made our own land arrangements, does anyone know if the GT alumni are hiring buses for round trip rides to the game from any hotel or other location? Just curious as I'm heading over with a buddy of mine who has never been to a GT game and thought this...

    Cj leggett gone?

I see a move back from receiver to B-Back by Lands-Davis who will provide another tough inside runner. I'm glad Mills was an early enrollee as he has an opportunity to garner some PT as a true frosh.

So you must not have let your daughter watch any of the Yellow Jackets games last year. If she did sneak one then hopefully it was the F$U white out game.

    Kudos to Shamire

@vamosjackets: If Shamire were to pancake a B-Back running through the opposite A-Gap lets just hope it's Skov as he stands the best chance of surviving that trucking. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed it doesn't happen ever.

    Happy update for GT fans

@Legal Jacket: Taking snaps under center as opposed to standing back away from the LOS in the shotgun involves an entirely different set of QB mechanics. Drop back passing will never be confused with the current NCAA 7 on 7 dump passing offense.

The Case For Georgia Tech And The Option Offense

IIRC isn't Tevin Washington the all time ACC leader in rushing TD's for a QB? He played his best football and worked his tail off to learn the playbook inside and out. I have the utmost respect for him as a player and person.

    Happy update for GT fans

These "Elite 11" camps are for the premise that: 7 on 7 is king. It reminds me of advertising on a highway billboard as you drive around the US. Best cherries on the planet at exit 5; or best steak in the solar system turn off at exit 11. What sells GT and every other program is WINNING on...

The Case For Georgia Tech And The Option Offense

@GlennW: You are 100% correct on the triple option offense being here to stay. As is CPJ at GT. The real interesting question is: when will another Power 5 School reach out and take away the Naval Academy Coach "Kenny?" They are the only other school running the CPJ offense and with very...

    Happy update for GT fans

@Legal Jacket: You're right. It was a well reasoned decision to go to the Elite 11 camp as it earned Vad a scholarship at JMU. Apparently they don't practice the dive; keep; or pitch at the camp. That is probably why the GT Team Captain Justin Thomas hasn't gone out to Oregon.

    Happy update for GT fans

Vad Lee is a QB that enjoys playing the 7 on 7 game that is much like a video game or flag football. However, a REAL football game is played with all 11 and the QB is going to get hit just as everyone does who steps foot onto the field at any position. Triple option or not. I thought it was...

    Players of the Week

Freddie Burden is a tough player and a stud on that offensive line. He played all spring at GUARD with a broken thumb since he was unable to snap the football. That is a testament to his mental toughness and leadership. He is an anchor up front and snapping the football to another stud at...

Notre Dame will not be a cake walk . . .

The Irish looked good but Texas is not a very good football team right now. They played two true freshman on the offensive line; they have no offensive scheme; and on defense they had one player who competed all night long. These are not the Darryl Royal Longhorns. The Domer's QB will present...

    Trey Klock TD Blocker

http://isportsweb.com/2015/09/05/georgia-tech-humbles-alcorn-state-in-a-hurry/ Trey Klock was inserted into the line up and played both LG and RG during two long TD runs by the B-Backs. GT has some depth on the O-Line.
