@Dustman: That's a great Avatar!
As for the big plays, apparently the experts who all have the blue print for stopping this offense didn't share it with anyone else who played GT this year.
Because the narrative has always been: "This isn't a come from behind offense as it can't pass."...
I would like to see either a B-Back wheel route for a big pass play to start the game, or one of our A-Backs hitting the seam for a wide open catch and run. That will set the tone for the rest of the game. Let them crash the B-Back anticipated Dive to start the game. Once they are hit for a...
I think GT will be a good fit in the Belk after beating UGA as we traveled well to both of the ACC Championship Games in Charlotte. This is where I want to go and believe the Yellow Jackets will show up and Swarm the stadium.
If I'm not mistaken we were either tied for # 1 in the FBS with big plays of 50 yards plus, or after yesterday in that # 1 spot all by ourselves. But I was always told by the media that this was a boring offense that can't come from behind as it lacked explosive plays!
I love the CPJ Spread...
No more disrespectful than the Criminoles tradition of ripping up a piece of the opponent's field to bury in their "Big Win Cemetary" back at their campus.
But I would imagine CPJ saying something like: "If they don't like then they need to win the game on their home field."
Much like Spurrier...
His lack of commitment turned out to be the best flip of all time given that we swapped him out for PJ Davis who has been a STUD from Day 1 on the Flats.
Thank you Brandon Douglas because were it NOT for you, PJ Davis would have been playing his football at Temple.
What's even better was when...
Any option QB has to be absolutely committed to the decision to run the ball or pitch. JT stopped his habit of trying to juke a defender and turned up the field this game with his old determination and great things happened. The O Line helped at times but the majority of his yardage was all JT...
So I'm glad everyone is getting this: "We played a horrible game Rant out of their system." I wasn't pleased with the overall performance either, but was happy to see GT "Bring Their Own Guts" and get the much needed WIN!
A major factor in the second half turnaround were the special team...
The two keys to this game are taking advantage of running Mills and Marshall inside as Miami has three FRESHMAN LB's facing the triple option for the first time.
On defense we need to get a few sacks from our DE's Antonio Simmons and Freeman as their QB stays in the pocket and doesn't like to...
With the exception of a school like Bama, who under Saban have always seemed to perform well when he replaces a new OC, playing against GT in an opening game with "two" new coordinators is not going to be an optimal situation.
BC has a very talented defense with some good linebackers returning...
When you see the comment coming from CPJ saying that: "He (Mills) understands football", that's code for: He runs tough; can block; knows his assignments; and gets yards when there's nothing there. To say that about a true frosh tells me this kid is going to make his reps count when he's in the...
How about hiring someone with a marketing degree or has read marketing for dummies who can think outside of the box. BDS is the winningest on campus stadium and outside of this fan base nobody else in the country knows that fact. Furthermore, the sight lines for a football game are outstanding...
