  2. Who Emerged This Year & What Did They Show You?

After giving this question a lengthy and serious study, I would say that our current offensive coordinator, Dave Patenaude, emerged the most of anyone on the squad, and didn’t show much, if hardly anything, positive for the position he is supposed to execute. He did succeed in earning a...
  3. Expectations for Strength & Conditioning this off season

I remember ‘ol Coach George O’Leary once said of a player: “Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.”
  4. Expectations for Strength & Conditioning this off season

Seems to me athletic ability should not be overlooked in discussions about size, strength, and weight.
  5. The helmet that will save football. Or not?

  6. Update on Coach Paul Johnson: Retirement

True. When I retired after 30 years with the same company, I was offered—and accepted—a part-time job as a paid professional consultant for the same company, on an as-needed basis, for five consecutive years following my retirement.

Yep. It means we (GT) need to double the number of special admits so we can get our football program up into the Top 5 like UGA does. I appreciate reading that in-depth AJC article. It is an eye opener, and enlightening.

Yes, I really would like to know, too. I don’t think anyone here on this board knows, either, other than perhaps a former GT football player (or several?) who post on this board. And I don’t remember reading anything from them about such academic requirements. Have I missed anything?
  12. Academic Requirements for Recruits

Has anyone seen — or read — any published minimum academic requirements for prospective football recruits at Georgia Tech? I haven’t. So I believe it is a big unknown. But I wouldn’t be surprised if “some strings are pulled,” though.
  13. What was your favorite uniform this year?

I ran a search back into the archives on this GT Swarm website, and found this photo which was posted by DeepSnap. It shows QB Larry Good in the same Old Gold no. 10 jersey that Mr. Buck Andel gave to me. Hope it works below: If you can zoom into player no. 86 on Larry Good’s left, you can...
  14. What was your favorite uniform this year?

Sorry, the uploaded file of the photo I took of my GT Larry Good jersey in Old Gold is too large to transmit. It is gorgeous. Oh well, again I apologize for it being too large a file to post it here. It is a deep old gold with white numbers outlined in black, on both shoulders as well as on...
  15. What was your favorite uniform this year?

‘Ol DeepSnap will probably remember wearing this one. Quarterback Larry Good’s no.10 jersey, given personally to my the late GT Trainer Buck Andel:
