Nickel and Safeties can play multiple positions. We should be fine there with Brooks, CPL, King, Gee, Wallace, Shelley, and Bryant. Also some CBs can play Nickel if needed.
OL play seemed to get better after Key took over last year. Still wasnt good, but hopefully we can keep that momentum into this year. This is the first year we have had continuity between seasons on the OL and we also added a couple pieces that I think could immediately step into the rotation...
I heard Haynes is now a RB which is why I didn’t list him. On the OL I have also heard Scaglione and Fusile are expected starters at Guard which has pushed Williams back to RT to get the best 5 on the field. I think the OL will be rotational and a lot could change in fall camp. I personally...
Haynes is a RB now. I suspect the staff are expecting big things from Singleton which could be the reason for the move. We have a lot of guys who can play slot now.
I mentioned that I think Rutherford, Blaylock, and Leary will play all over so the receiver/slot positions are fluid. I just think Buster will try to find a way to get Rutherford and Leary on the field at the same time given their speed.
In the spring game Rutherford commonly lined up at WR...
Since it’s the off-season, this is my guess and comments on a potential depth chart.
OFFENSE:
QB battle in fall camp will obviously be the most interesting story. I could see either one winning out but I’m leaning Pyron now. I think the WRs will be the most improved and most fun group this...
If you speak the truth about how things played out with Sims you get put in timeout like me (I have received several warnings from mods). I guess its best just to not say anything lol people are way too easily offended
If Chadwell is our guy I trust him even if he decides to bring his whole staff. I dont like it but I also dont know anything about coaching. It did not work out for Collins when he brought his Temple staff, but Chadwell is a much better coach and has proven that.
Relax dude lol this "kid" is 20 years old and probably makes more money from NIL than most of us. If he cant take some criticism then he is choosing the wrong career path.
The facts are that he has never played an entire season healthy. He was medically cleared but did not want to go in when...
I wouldnt classify the Coastal defense as "broken" but it could definitely use some fixing lol. Currently ranked 94th in total defense and 75th in scoring defense.
Any insight into why Batt would be on board with Chadwell if the plan is to bring the entire staff? Seems like someone like Clark could be appealing because he could bring in anyone he wants and isnt tied to a staff currently.
None of those candidates fit that definition either lol all of them have won at the highest level at their respective schools. None of them are "worn down" or trending down.
He would not "leave the team indefinitely" with 2 games left if he was planning to be here next year. The dude is soft...we will be better off without him
That is great to hear. I have been worried we are going to just default to Key or go with some of these other ridiculous names like BOB. Sounds like Batt knows what he is doing
Clark would be fantastic. The guy can coach and what he did at UAB is a miracle. Everyone that has played/worked with him loves him. Give him a good staff and NIL and his ceiling could be unreal.
Just think about this stat: Before Clark came to UAB they had never won 8 games. He did that 4 out...
wow haha this would be awful.
1. What makes Monken a good candidate? I wouldnt even consider him a top OC - he just has top talent to work with
2. Dell McGee has never called plays
3. Key has been an awful OL coach (he is a great guy but hes not going to be around next year)
4. Thacker? I get...
Lol why would anyone want Urban. Best case scenario he has a couple decent seasons then “retires”. Worst case scenario he gives your program the death penalty with recruiting violations.
