  1. Best play of all time at Tech?

Yep, this is the one. Nov. 17, 1962: Georgia Tech vs. Alabama This was another epic Grant Field win over Alabama, one Coach Bobby Dodd called “my greatest victory.” Mike McNames scored Tech's only touchdown and made a game-saving tackle to upset Bear Bryant's unbeaten, No. 1 defending national...

Per Dabo that is what Clemson runs. See is comments after the UL game. And, what is that "thing" we must do to recruit superior athletes? Look 50% of the teams running ny scheme you can name have losing records. Period. Scheme is about as important as the weather.; it rains on both sides of...
  9. Back to Back games of 50'000+

My first game at Grant Field was in 1960. Big Tech crowd. GT the only weekend game in town. We left the SEC. Then the pros arrived. Then the crowds became mostly us but a lot of them. Been that way ever since. Effect recruiting? Never have seen where a prospect said I'm not going to GT...

  11. Youth Trip, ACC Politics, Personal Decisions

Welcome to the secular world we now live in Vamos. It is difficult to hold religious principles in the world. Remember Jesus told us that even though we are in the world, we are not of the world. And we are treated harshly as a result. None of us can tell you how to handle this. gtg93 above...

  15. How do you think the new AD affects basketball?

Pastner seems to be preaching GT is a special place and Stansbury will reinforce that point. PR folks need to take Stansbury's opening press conference and whittle it down to about 5 minutes and show it to every visitor. That press conference was a great job of selling IMHO.
  16. Our Offense

There are probably about 100 teams that can make the same statement. Johnson, Gailey and O'Leary have fielded about the same quality of teams over the period with about the same results. Scheme does not seem to matter. Those three coaches have run about everything in the book with similar...

  20. The facts as I see'em

I totally buy into the "elitist" part of this judgment but cannot comment on the "justified" portion. Just do not know. I see this judgment as a problem but have nothing to offer as a solution. But it needs to be addressed if you expect BDS to be a "sold out" place.
