Two bigger worries than Cottrell or Lands-Davis from this morning's AJC

Shamire might not be hungry because he's hungry! Get him some glasses that make DL look like cream puffs or pizzas and see how he plays then.

Nate Cottrell out for year, Mikell Lands-Davis moves to A-back

35 points and yet the outcome of the game was never seriously in doubt.

Nate Cottrell out for year, Mikell Lands-Davis moves to A-back

Go back and watch the FSU game. Their D Line looked pretty bad, also, against our offense. They were absolutely gutted the first half, and a good bit of the second half. So what does that prove, that FSU's coaches are bad and can't recruit?

Nate Cottrell out for year, Mikell Lands-Davis moves to A-back

As far as yds given up in the Orange Bowl, I'll just quote Bear Bryant. WTTE "That space between the 20's on the field is for the fans. From the 20's to the goal line is where football is played". I saw some football being played in the OB.

Nate Cottrell out for year, Mikell Lands-Davis moves to A-back

Haters gotta hate. Last year it was CPJ had to produce or it was time for him to leave. This year it's Roof. Next year it will be the Band Director. When crunch time came late in the season: Somehow with a sh***y defense, we kept uga's offense out of the end zone except for the first...

    Matthew Jordan Practicing at AB

Anybody remember the fake field goal pass against Clemson? Johnson's not afraid to run gimmicks. Didn't Boomer say last year that Jordan has the best looking passes in warmups? I will be sorely disappointed if we don't have an A Back option pass in our bag.

Are we where we want to be?

I think it is sustainable for the reasons I mentioned above. And there are other indicators. We have since 1997 put in a pretty strong base of around 7+ wins annually. Johnson has been building on that base consistently. He is making the case that you can come to Tech, experience quite a bit...

Are we where we want to be?

I think one thing is for sure, we will find out this year if we have turned the corner. ND and Clemson on the road, FSU and uga in Atlanta, and I think UNC and Pitt are going to bring good teams to ATL also. If we kick all of those butts, even if we lose one in a hard fought game, you'd have...

Things I want to hear Herbstreit say

when he's calling the Thursday night game against VT: There he is folks, the next great GT wide receiver. Why does Paul Johnson waste a scholarship on a punter? GT's front four on Defense hasn't given anyone much time to throw this year, and they seem to have turned it up a notch tonight...

    Brad Stewart is an athlete

What irked me was watching 5'7" Spud Webb dunking for NC State back in the 80's. He looked like a rat when he jumped.

Anybody ever seen CPJ have an A Back option pass? Seems like it would be something you see Jordan do at A Back. Would put a hell of a lot of pressure on a Safety if the A Back that takes the pitch is able to hit the other A Back downfield.

    Nathan Cottrell

Didn't Jerry Mays miss a year with a torn ACL? 1987? He came back better than ever.

    Over/under on sacks

The sack record for a season is 45 set in 90 and 91. Last year, we had 20 according to the media guide. Now that we know who we will have playing this year on D, what is the over and under. Green and Nealy combined for 3 sacks last year, so 17 of the 20 are returning. How many more does an...

    Best and Worst Case Record

I think we have more talent now than we have had since '08/'09. Johnson has shown he knows how to get the most out of his talent, not just here but also at Navy. I also think we have the most depth we've had since '98/'99. With much less talent and almost zero depth in key positions like OL...

    Who's going to South Bend?

Shouldn't we be back in SB in six years since ND plays each ACC team every three years? We will go to SB more often than Tallahassee.

    Ode to The 2015 Offseason

"There is a tide in the affairs of men". I think our ebb ended about the middle of last year. The quiet emanating from east of Atlanta is what made the off season so enjoyable. They are worried, very worried that their flood tide passed just after last Thanksgiving and the planets won't...

    Annual Offseason Expansion Talk

    GT #17 in Coaches Poll

Did anybody improve their ranking from the beginning of the year to the end more than we did? From only two votes to #7? I know MS State went from unranked to #1, but they didn't stay there.

    The forgotten man

Snoddy! He's by far our best returning running back, but all the off season talk has been about the new guys. With the caveat that he's healthy and stays healthy, why wouldn't he get 1000 yds? He's going to be the go to A back, so he should get the carries. When he hit his stride last year...
