The answer is, you’re not elite. If it takes a specific, peculiar scheme that only a couple geniuses know how to implement to get you to move a pigskin past the goal line against much weaker opponents...sorry but you’re not an elite football player and below the standards of Georgia Tech...

Quality post. Johnson did very little variation in his offense compared to his past offenses. Go look at his time at Hawaii, Navy under Ken N, Army under Monken. He just...didn’t want to do any variation!

You’re carefully forgetting all the offensive line problems that lead to inconsistency in QB play. Even further, we aren’t privy to all the reps in practice. So, we can only come to conclusions without the full set of data available.
