    Gardner was 08.

You can throw Clyde Yandell in there too. Let's not forget that when injuries in the ACCCG happened to Smith, then Claytor, Clyde Yandell stepped up big time to perform at a high level.
  3. Coach’s radio show

Effort is judged snap to whistle. A lack of effort is something along these lines: Pursuit on defense- even if you're far from the play, are you giving your all on your pursuit angle Not finishing a block or letting the guy run free without doing anything before the play is over Not finishing...
  4. Coach’s radio show

Would you agree that players' are responsible for their own behavior? The coaches are ultimately responsible for the players' behavior, I won't argue that. However, the players' are responsible for how they act in between the stripes during the game. Only corrective action can be taken. You...

Formation is just that. It’s how you line up. You can run the option out of the I. You can do it out of shotgun. You can even do it out of 5 wide.
  6. Coach’s radio show

    Listen with sound.
  7. Coach’s radio show

I don’t believe that I said that we didn’t have a significant talent advantage. I do believe that I’ve said that lack of talent can explain why the guys are unable to adapt to a different style of football to the point where they can’t beat Citadel.
  8. Coach’s radio show

Do you think it's fair to dismiss Herby's points on transitioning the offense and team because he doesn't have any supposed option experience (newsflash, he does). If you do, then you should have no problem with everyone else dismissing your points due to lack of experience. I'll fairly...
  9. Coach’s radio show

You literally couldn't be more wrong.
  10. Coach’s radio show

Well, he was an option QB afterall... How much experience do you have evaluating football talent?
  11. Has it come to this?

I edited my post to be more clear
  12. Has it come to this?

Actually a hypothetical isn’t useless in this particular case. The poster claims that we may have had a higher ceiling this year based upon a 7 win season and the players returning. I think it’s quite cogent to point out we were close to only having 4 wins when his argument is based upon not...
  13. Has it come to this?

I brought up a very relevant hypothetical (singular) that was germane to that poster’s premise. You on the other hand, not even sure why you felt the need to comment other than to defend a 3 win season. There’s no defending a three year season in the middle of a coaching tenure.
  14. Coach’s radio show

    Yep, that sounds about right.
  15. Has it come to this?

It was relative to that particular posters post.
  16. Has it come to this?

We are talking about one particular hypothetical. Not any other season. We can discuss other seasons if you want, I was responding to an OP. Is there a particular reason we MUST talk about something almost completely off/topic?
  17. Coach’s radio show

Then what are you watching to think that missing tons of assignments is on the coaching staff?
  18. Coach’s radio show

Did you rewatch the game, yes or no? How many times?
  19. Coach’s radio show

How many times have you watched it? I just don’t see how anyone who rewatched the game can pin this solely on the coaching staff without also giving a healthy dose of criticism to the players.
  20. Has it come to this?

I don’t disagree with that. But we aren’t talking 2015, not even sure how it’s relevant.
