Agreed. I was there for the 2016 tipped pass where they stole a win from us. Every single fan I spoke to told me what a great team we had, and how we were robbed.
Beers shared with the enemy on the road don't hurt, either.
This is interesting to me. I live in Maryland, so it's obviously skewed with UA being based out of Baltimore. But I swear most all athletic clothing is UA up here. It definitely is *the* brand at least locally.
I mean, statistically speaking, we could have a 49% chance of winning every single game left on our schedule. And 1-11 would not be the most likely outcome.
I have CLEM by 14+, but I actually think the yellow jacket faithful will feel ok when the clock runs out. Something like 31-13 bad guys where we look like a real football team.
I use Hulu+live TV, and I have never failed to see a game. Don't anticipate a problem this season.
I do live out of market (Mid-Atlantic) so I never have problems with blackouts, for what that's worth.
You're absolutely right. The athletic ran an article last year about the '4-million-club' identifying the big time matchups that bring in big numbers of eyes. They want more of those games.
All this talk of 'adding teams only means diluting shares' seems like it's missing some of the point. ESPN wants the ratings from a regular season Clemson/Bama game. They want the ad money from a Miami/LSU game.
They're looking to get the most appealing product that increases viewership.
Everyone talks about wanting to play the Florida schools to increase recruiting in that area. Imagine what sending Ohio St to Atlanta every so often would do for their recruiting in the southeast.
For what it's worth, I don't see GT-to-B1G happening. But it's still an interesting thought.
We're an easy game for everyone right now.
Hopefully that's not the case much longer, but let's be real. Most teams write us off as a W preseason right now.
I hear you, and generally agree. But I can't remember the last time we lost a game by 17 and I didn't feel like we were clobbered. Regardless of opponent, even Clemson.
I think we have to. Campbell has the bats, as we learned in game 1.
If we make it to tonight's game, someone had suggested Maxwell. I know he's been much better in relief than as a starting role, but at this point you pitch who you have.
