I can get behind the logic in this, but it's never been quite the bee in my bonnet that it has been for some fonts.
I've always appreciated that the 2-seed in a regional would have an opportunity to bat in the bottom at some point. I guess this is more reason to get that top-8 seed...
I was Perry, until Tech acquired the Olympic housing from State and I moved to North Ave. In both instances I learned to sleep with highway noises. Now I use a white noise machine as a crutch.
"I'd be lying if I said I was the only one from A&M going to Georgia Tech."
Well. That's fun.
Side note: this is one of the first times I've seen Bryce talk about Tech and not throw any shade. Good to hear.
Fair point. Personally, I think there were two ways we win that game with how we were playing - Sims stays healthy and wills us to a win, or Pyron isn't buried on the bench and has his coming out party a bit earlier. I suppose the latter would have happened without Geoff F Collins, too.
We lost to UVA and Miami with Key. I don't think him being the coach from week 1 instead of week 4 changes that - we lost because our QBs got injured.
UCF is probably the only game I could see flipping if Key were driving from the beginning.
One of the major concerns people seem to have with Key is recruiting. But given how much his current players love him, I think he can really sway some opinions if he gets in the front door. He's a likeable guy that cares about his kids.
I'm actually optimistic he could recruit pretty well.
Agreed. We've had enough time to speculate that I've talked myself into excitement for Keys, BoB, or JC. If it's someone else, I'll need to hype myself up again, but I'd be optimistic with A, B, or C.
I agree with this sentiment. But we're going to have transfers no matter what, so let's just make the right call with the coach. For instance, I think that Pyron, while a vocal Key supporter, would thrive in Chadwell's offense.
I just don't see the egos at play allowing for that. Stepping in and having the player's favorite guy relinquish his leadership role and all the players get in board for the new guy? Seems ripe for locker room fallout. The second BoB starts losing, there's a leadership crisis.
The Athletic posted an article from Jeff Schultz. Its worth a read, but he touches on 4 possibilities.
1. Hire BoB
2. Hire Key
3. Hire BoB and keep Key on
4. Hire Chadwell
3 seems the least likely. 1 also seems low but what do I know?
I was going to say it was a first half play, so he would have just missed the second half. But you're right - this would have been his third, and would have carried the extra penalty.
Even if one of those earlier calls was terrible...
It's all about getting action. I think we probably win by about a touchdown, but I also wouldn't be surprised if we laid an egg. While we're definitely on the rise compared to the former guy, we haven't proven we can really show up and play a complete game.
The casual bettor probably still sees...
