  4. Note from Juanyeh Thomas

Bolded above is the real problem. UNC pushed kids through for a decade and got nothing. Our football players are given clothes and we vacate a championship.
  5. QB question

It's probably because they are new and are just trying to generate more observations. Consider it the top of the funnel - you're trying to get a bunch of ideas and observations to get a high-level handle on what is going on with a bunch of players. Once fall comes, it will probably be down to...

This is the type of stuff Tubby did at UGA when he took over the basketball program - the students loved him. At least the guys I knew there loved it, and went to more games because of it.

Where are we ranked 17th? And where is Temple ranked 56th? Scoring offense: 33rd (temple was 24th) Total offense (yds): 61st (Temple was 60th) Ah, I see, it's FEI from the Football Outsiders. Our Defensive FEI was 108 and Temple's was 25, so I guess if I had to choose I would take 56th/25th...

  15. Quick Lane Bowl Postgame Discussion

Center and RG didn't have the right call on that one. If they block their men, it's wide open up the middle for the run. Can't fault the QB on that one. This is a O-line coaching problem.
  16. “Branding” and “Marketing” ...

Yep. I think we use it, but we need to do better. Edited to add: You're right that sometimes it takes millions; but that's usually because you have to do 1,000 interviews, then do a bunch of analysis work. That's the cost in the business world. In college football, you've got a walking VOC...

Value proposition is what you're talking about. Simple concept but can be very hard to articulate. Collins has his pitch figured out already, he probably brought it to the interview. Which is how you get the job.
  18. Bag man

I knew guys recruited to play football in south Georgia, and alums give them a bunch of stuff - going out money, borrow cars. These are family friends and it all falls along the line, but it's not officially sanctioned or led by the school.
