  1. Quick Lane Bowl Postgame Discussion

He literally said those words in the interview, as far as I remember. It doesn't matter though, you can run RPO and call it "Pro Style". It didn't stop offensive players from Florida from getting drafted when Tebow was QB. Only thing that matters is the message. People used the TO against...
  2. Quick Lane Bowl Postgame Discussion

Tell you what, student athletes having to do a press conference after a game like that is tough. Many people don't have to answer for their performance publicly immediately after it happens. I hope everyone commenting on players realizes they are just kids.
  3. Quick Lane Bowl Postgame Discussion

I think he was letting Marshall play his last game, to be honest.
  4. Quick Lane Bowl Postgame Discussion

Honestly, you're already seeing it. The guys knows how to stay on message. They interviewed him during the game and he's beating the same drum over and over again - pro-style offense, Atlanta, respect for the past, dream job. If nothing else, the guy is going to be on message and bring effort...
  5. Quick Lane Bowl Postgame Discussion

I thought that was his standard demeanor.....he is a good offensive lineman.
  6. McCollum

Right; what I'm saying is that the coaching turnover didn't result in any of McCollum's recruits not coming here.
  7. McCollum

Gailey wasn't announced until late December, after Christmas. He needed to keep some staff just to make it through signing day. Big difference here. I'm sure that Juanyeh's mom had her heart broken because she had relationships with the current coaches. That doesn't mean it's not the right...
  8. McCollum

When I say "losing a few players" I mean those that won't sign this year because of their relationship with him. We seem to have lost Ahdarrious Gee, who signed with Troy. Which seems kind of strange given that he had an offer from South Carolina as well. We lost Britton Allen, but he was...
  9. McCollum

Maybe because we haven't been good at recruiting in 20 years? If you want to assign blame to losing a few recruits with ties to McCollum to Collins, that's fine. But be ready to assign blame to McCollum if our recruiting classes come in stronger the next few years.
  10. “D & ST”

It seems that he can. This week I've read positive articles about his coaching, especially the job he did at Florida.
  11. DC Hire

OMG please. The late 90s and early 00s were a great time for GT LBs, would love to see that again. Need more future pros there.
  12. Are you pleased with the hire (poll)

Well, that's about as positive as you can get on a GT board.
  13. Starting QB next year.

All I know is that we have options. We have good speed and capability at the position, so whomever wins the job will have been through a fight to get it. Best you can hope for. There's no way we will I stall an offense that requires a stationary 6-4 QB.
  14. Potential Head Coach Hires

If you're reading this board, I don't want you. It's recruiting season!
  15. Potential Head Coach Hires

Do you think he said a** or d***. Just curious.
  16. Potential Head Coach Hires

    Or the NFL requires calculus.....
  17. Potential Head Coach Hires

Go look at my new post on coache's winning percentages. I don't think it correlates as much as you think.
  18. Potential Head Coach Hires

    I figured as much.
  19. Head Coaching records - current NCAA coaches

I've been reading all of these threads about our coaching search where everyone uses specific examples to try to make their case for a specific coach, usually based off of their record. I thought it might be interesting to look at the data. I'm using...

Which hire would marshal more school support?
