Yeah, I understand that. But in games with a big lead, I believe it helps to throw your backup problem pitchers at least an inning in the 8th or 9th to give them a chance to try to improve their own pitching. Game experience is always valuable.

I favor no “10-run rule” so that the backups (scrubs) can get a chance to play.
