  2. Spectrum and ESPN fail to agree

I agree with 33. I had YouTube TV until they dropped Bally last year, so I switched back to cable (Spectrum) just to watch the Braves. Watching the Braves on Spectrum cable costs me a good bit more, but it is well worth it for me.
  3. Louisville Post Game

Long way to go. Need to recruit a lot of studs. I mean, a LOT of them. Studs can block and tackle a lot better than average guys. BTW, Louisville was a 15-point favorite before the game started, if I remember reading correctly. We lost by 5.
  4. Spectrum and ESPN fail to agree

My neighbor (huge UGA fan) just blew up in great anger when he discovered that the SEC Network — as well as ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU — have been cancelled on Spectrum. ACC Network is also gone, too
  5. Spectrum and ESPN fail to agree

YouTube TV doesn’t carry the Atlanta Braves (Bally Sports South/Southeast).
  6. Spectrum and ESPN fail to agree

GT fans who use Spectrum won’t be able to watch tomorrow night’s GT-Louisville football season opener on ESPN. Unless the two companies come to an agreement very soon … Link: https://fansided.com/posts/spectrum-espn-utah-vs-florida-how-to-watch-without-cable

    Four-Star QB. Sounds great.
  9. Kiffin on NIL and Portal

The grass is always greener somewhere else for any player who wants to enter the transfer portal, whether it be for NIL money, playing time, personal, and/or academic reasons. The recruiting grass is always greener with the availability of other players in the transfer portal, for all coaches...

  12. Pitching Coach Hired

If nothing else, GT’s pitchers will now have a fresh start with the new pitching coach. Nowhere else to go but up.
  13. Pitching Coach Hired

Pitching coach and recruiting coordinator from Georgia State. Might help recruit better pitchers to GT. We will see how it goes!
  14. Hall retained. Borrell fired.

Got to have the horses who can pitch well.

  16. Hall retained. Borrell fired.

I’m sure Tex will help Batt on the baseball budget.
  17. Hall retained. Borrell fired.

Buyout for Borrell’s remaining contract (two years, 2024 and 2025) = $450,000. Peanuts. Buyout for Hall’s remaining contract (two years, 2024 and 2025) = $1.040 million. Too much for a non-revenue sport.
  18. Should Hall Retire? (Poll)

Correct spelling is Moranda. Bobby Moranda served as an assistant baseball coach at GT from 2001-2007. Then he left to take on the head baseball coaching job at Western Carolina University, a position he held for 15 years until his retirement last year (2022). His record at WCU was 401-386-1.
  19. Should Hall Retire? (Poll)

I’m not an insider and I don’t know. I’m just a lifelong GT sidewalk baseball fan. I suspect a lot of what might happen with Coach Hall soon, would likely depend on what and how GT’s current big baseball donor, Mark Texiera, thinks and feels about the current state of the program. Tex is also a...
