I agree that the run impacts shortening the game but we were still snapping the ball with lots of time on the run clock. Not the best way to shorten the game.

Fusile was at RG and Williams at RT most of the game. Fusile is a second year player on this team and evidence indicates that he earned his spot in camp. There are some real issues with this team like TE and WR performance, STs, penalties, and continued coaching issues.

Overall Sims looked much better. He did however throw an easy pick six that was dropped and on another play looked like the old Sims in panic and made a bad decision throw that should have been an interception. Too many side ways throws for no yardage and too few throws to get the ball up field...

My brother spent a season as a college student assistant under coach Creel at Lakeside and went on himself to be a really good D coach. Even to this day he quotes coach Creel on situational basics on D.

The great Alabama teams seem to have an elite QB, RB, WR(s), and DL, with solid kicking, ST(s), and OL. This year they are missing some of those elites. The Ga team is mature, deep, lots of talent with solid coaching, and below average competition from the other powerhouses.

Unfortunately if Collins is still in charge of the "practice scheme" and "buddy culture" the new coordinators may be very handicapped in what they can improve. We can see the game day stuff but what actually goes on in prep and practice, this past 3 years and next year, is pretty much unknown...

Unfortunately consistent and predictable. We also took a time out (again when we were behind) when we could not decide on a play in the red zone, and we needed that time out at the end. Again consistent and predictable poor clock management.

After the BC game maybe we can get off the QB controversy. Under pressure Sims stays in the pocket until he is consumed (which is quick) and then slings a pass, some of which are very good and some of which are bad or intercepted. Yates gets quickly flushed out of the pocket in run-for-your-life...
