    Pre-season thread Reprise

This is where I was at before the season started. I've never been as down as it seems like everyone else is on CDH but it was a definitely a put up or shut up type of year for me. If you can't make some kind of noise, barring injury, with this roster then it's probably time to move on. I...

We are flawed ..... is everyone else?

This is a nit pick but that's not always true. TJ is an elbow surgery. So if you're having something like shoulder or back issues then you're probably not going to need elbow reconstruction surgery. But he had forearm tightness that he couldn't shake which as I said somewhere else in here...

It's not unusual for forearm tightness to be a precursor to TJS even if it goes away. It's probably wiser to assume he's gone for a while until he proves otherwise. Anything else we get from him is gravy imo.

    2019 ACC Baseball

I think we've set ourselves up well going into the second half of the conference season. Our schedule was front loaded and to come out of that at 9-6 is real good. Better than I thought if would be. If we can go 3-2 over the last five conference weekends that puts us at 17-13 in conference play...

    UGA - COFH Part 2

Yea I think I'm ready to go on record that the bullpen is just flat out bad after this game. Can't make the sample size excuse anymore.

Going 12-4 in your last 16 games with a 5-2 record against top 25 teams seems like a bad time to be calling for the coach's head.

I dont think we're snake bit. Pitchers just break. It's only a matter of when they do. Best way to deal with it is to have solid depth. That's harder in college because you can't stash guys in the minor leagues.

I seriously doubt GT is running the app you yell about. It's probably contracted out.

Ha. Thanks for the kind words! I'd bet I'm one of the younger guys on the board so my life has started to move from young with plenty of free time to a little less young with a lot less free time. I've lurked around a lot but haven't been able to participate all that much. C'est la vie. And...

Ken’s AJC article on Patrick Suddes ...

Digital content coordination isn't the same thing as brand management. And from what I've read on Ryan he was responsible for video production not social media. That's two completely different animals. What I'm trying to say is that I'm saying is that I would be shocked if the presence of the...

Ken’s AJC article on Patrick Suddes ...

I'm a web developer and have spent time working with and rubbed a lot of elbows with people who work at digital service agencies. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram do not cost money to use that is obviously correct. But using them effectively is not as easy as you would think and having someone...

It might be set and it might not. You guys can be real quick on the trigger to write the epitaph for the season when there's plenty of games left to play. Too much of a football/basketball mentality. Right now it's not worth stressing out about. Let the whole thing stew a bit. And I'd agree...

One thing we have to acknowledge about our bullpen pitchers is that only two of them have thrown at least 10 innings and one of those guys has started a bit. That's a pretty small sample size to make decisions on. We have to wait until four or five conference weekends to really see what we...

Ah ok. I guess that is some confirmation that the team uses some form of analytics. How much and how they collect it still seem to be open questions. For years one of my big complaints about our current coaching staff is that their decision making can seem behind the times when it comes to...

If you don't mind me asking, do you have access to that kind of data for the college level? I'd love to get my hands on it.

We are largely in agreement and I'm not trying to start an argument here so I'm not sure why you're getting so defensive. All I'm trying to point out is that you're link isnt't useful to the discussion at hand imo. No more no less. You clearly disagree. That's cool. Ain't no thing.

The rankings cited by you and ramblin wreck are Princeton Review rankings. From what I understand it's essentially user satisfaction survey of current students. The only information it offers to it rankings is: "based on student ratings of the recreational and athletic facilities at their...

    College Football's Top Facilities

I'm pretty sure this is a ranking of athletic facilities available for the general student body. Not the facilities for competitive athletics. I mean Grinnell College? Bicknell University? Gettysburg College? Great schools but not exactly D1 powerhouses. Tech should be high on that list. The CRC...

Yea I know about the revenue discrepancy but I'm not talking about resources I'm talking about current facilities. More revenue doesn't mean much if you don't have anything concrete to show for it. How much of that difference goes toward our interest payments vs actual investment in the...
