We are not the only ones throwing the bubble screen. It seems like, (probably not but I am given to hyperbole anyway) every game I watched had bubble screens being thrown usually unsuccessfully. I don't get it either unless coordinators think it makes them look smart.

Because our defense is really awful and the vaunted offensive line is helpless against a really good defense although Syracuse's defense is the same one that allowed a MAC team to run all over them with the running back getting over 200 yards alone. The odds on are whether or not we win six games.

Love your enthusiasm and support for the team...that said, you are looking at a team that is not that good. We will be fortunate to win 6 games with this defense. It is that bad.

That is true. We did not deserve to win and that Syracuse call for the middle screen nearly ended in disaster for them. If Effords had gotten there a split second sooner, he would have taken that ball away from the running back who juggled it twice. The expression on his face said it all...

At least you are honest...something that is sometimes not true of me. I do not share your optimism for the simple reason that I have little confidence in our defense getting pressure on any quarterback but I am happy to be proven wrong.

You bring up an interesting point what if McCord actually misses one on second down? That changes the dynamics considerably. Who knows? They may have tried that middle screen again.
