A great opportunity to hear directly from Parker regarding his decision to transfer:

I have great respect for this young man!
The Academic Progress Rate (APR) was implemented in 2003 and strengthen in 2011 to penalize teams that score below 930. I believe all the former Jackets you mentioned came prior to 2011.
As I understand, many coaches now have clauses in the contracts related to APR also. The landscape has...
I also appreciate the fact that he wants to answer fan mail however I'd rather his focus be on team development and relentless recruiting. I realize in this day and age, a coach must find the right balance.
Wow, then you may have challenges getting football players to your school. I can somewhat see what Southpaw13 is saying but you are essentially not offering to keep them on scholarship if they don't perform as expected on the field. Why should the student athlete be penalized for the coach's...
Are you saying that if the player redshirted by request of the coach then in year 5 isn't in the two deep lineup, the coach should have the ability to decline granting the scholarship in year 5? Just trying to understand your point.
Though a different sport, Louisville lost Lamar Jackson and their coach got fired the next season. I don't think we will fire CJP because of the loss of Okogie.
Per the ESPN article, he plans to withdraw from school and declare himself eligible for the draft.

Heard the interview on 929 the Game. Pretty standard stuff however a few things caught my attention.
-CGC was asked about the QBs he inherited and whether they could run the kind of offense he wanted to install. He indicated he looked at their HS film and was pleasantly surprised with the...
LaBarrie was not fired, he resigned. It was a mutual decision per the AJC article link below. I do wonder if there is a pathway for him to come back, based on how the NCAA review ended up...
I don't think there is enough ball handling with that group. May need to substitute Phillips for Moore. Who knows, we may have a Malichi Rice appearance if the guards get in foul trouble.
Partially due to HIPPA, there is only so much that can be said about a student-athletes medical condition. I heard on the radio this morning that AD made the trip to Clemson and was sent back due to concerns that came up. We'll probably have to wait until Friday and see what, if any additional...
I thought Kincaide took another shot at CPJ by asking CGC if he won't back down from recruiting against uGA like the previous coach. I thought CGC handled it very diplomatically by saying he is looking for the best football players wherever they are since we are a global brand. CGC then...
He's someone that CJP actively recruited however the article suggests he was not cleared by the NCAA due to his ACT scores. Sometimes there is more to the story with respect to recruiting.
Interesting that at the 17:25 mark, the commentators mentioned that Patenaude likes to integrate 3O with run and shoot principles. This sounds like someone that will leverage the talent he has to get the most out of them. We'll need to wait until the spring game to see what he plans for our team.
I agree with this lineup given it has been in place recently. Wright does add value on defense. I do believe Wright will be on a shorter lease as Cole continues to improve.
Wow! I thought he still had 'fire in his belly' hence why he went to Miami without taking off a year. It will be interesting to see who the UofM hires to replace Richt.
