This is the position I am the least worried about. Going back to CPJ's days at Southern and Navy, this offense really allows for at least one A-Back to have great numbers throughout a year. It has been the same at Tech. Roddy, Orwin and Robbie were good backs for us. But none of them will ever be NFL RB's unfortunately. I would love it if they were, but a lot of the numbers they got were because of the system. Did they make great individual runs at times? Yes, of course. But a lot of it is the system.
Going back to 2004 at Navy, the lowest average yards per carry the top A-back had was 7.9 in 2007. That year they had three A-Backs average over 7 yards a carry, all had over 60 rushing attempts. We'll be fine here.
