Not just the mid-60s. From at least the 50s until the early 80s, uniforms were mostly white jerseys, gold pants, and gold helmets.

For the whiteout game Would love to see it Outlined in Gold instead of Navy, and the Jerseys have only Gold with no blue outline like the Basketball Winter Whites.

Personally I don’t want to be like auburn or Georgia or penn state. I want to be Georgia Tech. I want to be innovative and different and luckily we have a coach and AD who feel the same way.

Yes. This! GT is all about innovation and pushing the envelope. Our football program is embracing that!!!

Totally agree that I'd love to see that White helmet with a gold outline. Perfect alternate for a white out game. Everything certainly indicates that the Stinger will be gone next year

I'm guessing the Blue outline is because that's the "white GT" helmet decals we've got (see Tre Swillings helmet in the Brandon Adams picture). Probably an equipment manager experiment.

This is also why I don't think we've had any Gold big GT shirts from Adidas yet. They had the Gold heat transfer, but didn't have a white one (like Nike had). I hope an additional year will add to the variety of content out there.

I don’t care much for the white and navy with white and navy GT outline logo. But the players will probably like it and we probably won’t see it more than once a year.
