Never seen that one… looks like a great Christmas present to me!
Bourbon Junkies released it through their Patreon last week. Sold out on there, so only way to get it now is to live in Michigan and swing by Evernorth or one of the couple of liquor stores up there that sells it.

I got it in the mail yesterday and popped it open last night. I can confirm it dominates MWND - and for only 100 vs the 175+ MWND runs these days.

Anybody had any of the Coy Hill stuff from JD? It's the special release again this year (I think it was 2021 or 22 when they last did it), but they look to be lower proof than the last ones.

The JD Barrel Proof Ryes are probably my favorite whiskey that you can actually get. The BP bourbons are good too, but less unique than the rye imo. I've never even set eyes on any of the Special Release stuff (Coy Hill this year, Twice Barreled Rye in 2022, Coy Hill in 2021, OG Barrel Proof Rye in 2020, and Heritage Barrel in 2018).

I got a store pick JDBPR recently that the store owner claims is from the Coy Hill Barrelhouse, but who knows if there's any truth to that. It is really good, but again I think all of the JDBPRs are really good. I'm got 7-8 of them with 5-6 open. The lowest is 128 and the highest 138. Like I said in my earlier post, I've found that I like the 132-133 range the most.

Not familiar with the Coy Hill stuff… Sounds like some excellent tasting suggestions though!

Crazy enough I have bottles that are 105-110 that drink hotter than some of the 130s I have.

Some of the Coy Hills from 2021 were hazmat. Secondary was around 750+ last I looked. The 2024 ones are around 130 and going for 400+ on secondary.

Alive and well, and quite yummy. Just finished a bottle of 101. Russell's Reserve is outstanding, as is Kentucky Spirit and Rare Breed. Many excellent choices. The Master's Keep I have is not that great.

Those Kentucky Spirits from the Camp Nelson warehouses are steals. I've had some Tyrone warehouse ones that are good too, but the CN ones are definitely superior.

Rare Breed and 101 are always good consistent pours, especially for the price.

Have had the opportunity to buy a couple of the Master's Keeps, but none of the ones with good reviews so I've always passed.
