Are we sure Key, Burton, Choice , and Coleman don't have 1 more year of eligibility.
I do believe Yates will redshirt, but from the tape that I've seen he's the most college ready QB we've had in some time. He doesn't just have the athleticism, he's a good decision maker, and has great command/presence out there. I think Johnson is good enough to hold him off, and I don't think they'll burn his redshirt as a backup, but we'll see.I will say this for Yates. He may not start game 1, but whoever does is going to have to be really good in order to keep Yates off the field this season. I do not believe he will redshirt, personally. Bold prediction.
Thanks, was thinking he got moved to DL but not sure where I heard it

Wouldn't Howard and Mason be the top 2? With maybe Griffin or Malloy 3rd. I expect the rest of our roster of running backs will be leaving soon enough when they don't get to see the field. If he can play, Clayton for sure. I know he didn't reach the field much at UF, but I'm betting that was a coaching problem.
If he can't, Christian Malloy. I think it's a photo finish between him and Dontae Smith as to who backs up Mason, but I think Malloy wins that one.
On the watch list: Griffin the Younger, Hansen, Lee, and (with a bullet) Josh Blancato.
Maybe so. I had understood that Howard would be an H-back in some sets and a fullback in others. That's where he could do the most damage, imho. It wouldn't be as big a change of pace, however; Malloy and Smith both cut mid 4.4 40s. , But if Coach wants him to be the rock-em-sock-em replacement for Mason, that'd be fine too.Wouldn't Howard and Mason be the top 2? He can play 4 games and preserve his redshirt. That's a pretty good audition to see if he should be full time starter. He could always rs a later year, also. Imo, if he's not head and shoulder's better, rs him.I do believe Yates will redshirt, but from the tape that I've seen he's the most college ready QB we've had in some time. Deveney is up to 260 lbs right now and may grow into OT by next year.
