Yes, and in that case Smelter should've fallen down at the 30 yard line (I'm not kidding). I was hoping that he would get tackled sometime before he scored. That was truly one of those plays where as soon as we scored (and took the lead), I knew we were toast with as much time was on the clock.

Understand the thought given it was a shootout, but "never take points off the board" is gospel when you're down 3+. If we were only down 2 and a chip shot FG wins the game it's maaaaybe a different story (but ask the Vikings how that went for them last year).

The chance of Taking a knee and not scoring is much worse than putting it on your D to close out the game with the lead (even if ur D is as soft as ours was that night)
