Yeah we were 16th in APR last year and theres just a overabundance of bowl games now. I think they took what 4 or 5 5 win teams last year from APR? We could even attempt to apply for a waiver based on losing a game. It's also possible that we decide we have too much pride to go to a bowl game at 5 wins and decline it which I believe one team did recently.
