UVA vs. Navy

Yep, we are already far enough behind. Another 3O Coach would ruin GT football for a long time.

Wrong. We could run FB dive 60x a game and no one would care if we went 12-0. Winning is everything. String together consecutive good years it doesn't matter what offense you run.

I'm not sure about that.

Please share the other P5 team that runs the T0? Ask yourself why?

MLK was a leader not a follower. You would think you would represent that profile pic instead of wanting to be like the other 99 percent

Didn't watch the game. Does Navy run the slow developing counter option every 5th play?
No , but they don't have a 370 r g to lead the qb around the end. Then they could wonder why the qb cuts up field as the pursuit is gaining on the train.

Not sure why we call the play so often . Rewatch "every offensive play against Virginia " and you will see we run it a lot. It's really a qb keep since he seldom pitches.
(The giant l . g. can pass block like a beast)

But by the counter is way more effective when its run to right as the 370 # r g down blocks. (1st play second half Virginia game = long td).

When our small 280# r g is in it works to left. He didn't play much in Virginia game. When he was in during VT we had 2 long scoring drives. Not so much without him. Not sure why the qb still cuts inside no matter what.

Got to have speed over power when pulling around opposite end.

I've never seen a team less ready to play than Virginia was against Navy

It seems we dip into our 3rd stringers and walk on OLs more often than other schools. If our offense is that more stressful on OLs, we either need to recruit more OLs and less ABs and WRs who only rotate so many per game, or maybe we need to change up our blocking style. We're going on 10 years now, and it's kinda crazy OL depth is consistently a problem.

Depth is a problem at every position group. If any group has a player or 2 leave the team unexpectedly it tends to play havoc with that group.

That's happened recently to the OL. Previously to DL and even BB to a degree.

So, some of you are saying that since Navy beat UVA, putting up a lot of points in the process, that leads to the logical conclusion that we should abandon the offense upon which Navy's offense is based??

The circular logic they are using is mind boggling. Gimmick offense...smh.

Had to edit out and delete the rest to prevent anyone from getting their feelings hurt.
