Since ND wears mostly blue, I might ask you the same question. Or more relevantly, why would we want to look like UVA or any of the countless other schools who wear mostly blue in all sports?

Find me *a* team that wears gold caps. Nobody does because it would look terrible. The only thing wrong with these graphics/uniforms is that the background “Tech” is navy instead of gold.
