Tennessee Game 1

Tennessee may have lost more than anyone we play except maybe Clemson. I read one of those NFL Draft magazines where they break down the best players by position group generally the best dozen or so who will be drafted. Anyway, Tennessee had a player in just about every position group but one. Clemson had a bunch also. To have access to that kind of talent would really be something. Trouble is that with Tennessee, like UGA, UNC, and Clemson, talent is NEVER an issue like it can be and usually is with us.
Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard. Don't get me wrong I would love to sign several 4-5 stars every year and be all hyped up like Uga is every year after signing day. If we changed our offense I believe we could consistently recruit in the 30-40 range instead 45-55 range but would we be a Louisville or a Virginia? We beat quite regularly, teams ranked above us with way more 4 stars than us. It will be a tough decision when CPJ decides to hang it up.

It will be a difficult decision. If the administration would loosen the restrictions a little bit and with our support system in place I would be happy to got to a more conventional offense and tap into some of that instate talent. Trouble is, I don't think that is a viable option at this point which means we may be looking at a transition to a Paul Johnson disciple and continued triple option with all its advantages AND disadvantages in recruiting. I still think we can recruit better especially on defense. Coach Johnson has found, as so many others before him, that Georgia Tech is a different sort of animal. He has made adjustments in recruiting focus and seems willing to devote more resources in finding those diamonds in the rough that can handle the academic challenges and play good football. He calls it "the right fit" which is pretty much summarizes the inherent challenges facing any Tech coach. We are doing better each year in recruiting regardless of stars and rankings. Just compare who we got this year to the classes of 2011 and 2012. Offensive line and defense are much improved over years past.

Let's get our minds right here, dude. Keep repeating to yourself: It's only a game. It's only a game. It's only a game.

Then go outside and enjoy Aruba with your wife. You can always look at Longestday later.
You're crazy man. This young mans mind is absolutely right.

Soooooooo when do tickets go on sale for this game?
If you know anyone with club seats they can order them for you. Gotta be done by May 15th I think though. Also you can buy season tickets and they come with them, but those are nose bleeds. Or you can get raped on stubhub.

I have made the decision I am going to this game as soon as I can find 4 tickets. Hate living out of town, if I was closer I could be season ticket holder.

I called the resort. I'm golden for the Tenn game and there's a big casino with a sports book that has online games.

I'd prepare for an alternative just to be safe. I had "everything arranged" a couple of years ago at a resort and I ended up missing a Mayweather fight and some football games. If you're in the Caribbean most of the resorts carry ESPN, but you get there and it's ESPN Deportes which shows completely different programming.

Just to be safe!

I hope the D shows up. They might win this one for us. I just get the feeling we will have our early season struggle moving the ball. We looked bad against BC last year and the opener at VT in '12 was just as ugly. I know MJ has game experience but it just seems to take 3 weeks for us to click offensively. I'm hoping Butch and his staff over think how to stop us and come out looking lost like they did with App St last year. I say midline midline dive midline dive the first series or two. Hit them right in the mouth. They either fold quick or they beat us with there speed and size up front.
