MBS is going to be friends with whomever provides events that pay them money. That is true of the Falcons, Atlanta United, Concerts, SEC Championship Game, National Championship Game, Super Bowl, Final Four, Georgia, Georgia Tech, etc. MBS job is to get events which fill their venue.
Fact!

I have been buying season tickets for decades and our UGA home games have been included, always. Then next year they take this game away and expect me, and other STH, to buy it back because they sold our tickets to MBS for $10 million?
Sorry, I don't enjoy watching my college team play in MBS enough, especially against the leg humpers, to swallow that pill.
Thank you for giving up your seats to the leg humpers. The "Home" game against f$u wasn't included in season tickets, but many of yall gladly shelled out for it. The other games we've had in MBS, negotiated by the former regime made our STH low in the pecking order for seats. The new regime, renegotiated for GT STH to have the highest possibility of seat allotment and place in line, and people are soiling themselves because of it.
Watched a Jacksonville news broadcast of the recent mutt Floriduh game being moved to MBS and RJS in Tampa. The fans they interviewed down at The Landing hated the idea, BUT WERE STILL GOING TO BUY TICKETS!!!!!!! Many on here say the GTAA is what's keeping GT down, I believe it's the fans. We act high and mighty like our turds don't stink because Ma Tech made you take Calculus. I'm a sidewalk fan and have more White and Gold & Blue in me than many who went to the Institute. We should support the Men of Tech no matter the field they take and the stadium it's in.

Lol. Don't question my support on one freaking game, and basing it on what some SEC fans are doing on a neutral game. after I have supported our football program for 60+ years and will continue to do so. And after paying for my son to graduate from Tech, who also is an AT contributor and STH.
I don't like your attitude, and I'm glad I don't know you, I but do like the money you spend on our program. Thank you.
🙂

My impression of GT fans: Tickets to games are far too expensive, so they don't buy them. Then when the GTAA makes very inexpensive tickets available, it is an admission that the experience is sub par so they don't buy tickets. They complain that no GT gear is available in stores, but when GT gear is available in stores they won't buy it because it is either too cheap, or too expensive, or the apparel company used the wrong font on the tag which is the wrong shade of black.

I have said this before (in this thread I believe). The GTAA has given GT fans the opportunity to buy season tickets, and then buy tickets to the mutt game in MBS before the mutts even have an opportunity to buy them. We have an opportunity to buy 60,000 tickets to that game and show the world that GT fans support the team. Whether we do that or not is on US, not on the AD and not on MBS.

Look, his take isn’t wrong. The AA pretty much screwed over the season ticket holders. The uGA game is the biggest game on the schedule and they took it out of the season ticket package. Moving it out of BDS for the money can be argued, but hell at least leave it in the season ticket package.

Is the price of the season ticket package reduced by that game?

If we bought 60K tickets, Tech fans would have to buy them in droves on the resale market. I would bet half the tickets will be taken by PSLs. Everyone who has one knows they can buy this ticket and either go or resale and make money. It will be interesting to see how many tickets are actually left after PSLs.

This. This is why I can’t consider it a home game relocated.

I’m not mad we took the money, but it was handled in a way that makes feel like we might as well have sold our game back to Sanford stadium.

I’ll be going to this game. But likely alone because my family doesn’t like MBS, and since the cost of our normal lower bowl tickets from previous years won’t be covered in our season tickets like in previous years - shoving me to the nosebleeds. It’s b*llsh*t.

According to the GTAA, only suites and premium PSLs will have access before season ticket holders. It isn't going to be available to all PSLs first.

Just to clarify, it is not about the money for me. My son and I paid $~ 750 for our 2 seats in MBS this season when counting the cost of our ST plus the $500 for our upgrades. MBS pricing for priority seats will be in that ball park. And anybody who thinks the west stands become a sea of red in BDS when we play UGA, you haven't seen anything like it will be in MBS next year, all over. Sitting in a sea of red for that game in MBS will simply not be enjoyable for me, especially after being screwed on my season ticket. Having said that, I am happy to see us make $10 million on the game, since it must be needed that badly to screw our STH like they have.

So the reason you won't buy tickets is because you believe it will be a sea of red? But it is attitudes like that that will be the cause of too much red. Just like at BDS, is season ticket holders attended that game and refuse to sell tickets to mutts, there would be far less red. It is circular logic that actually causes what you don't want to have happen.

If you think the culture that creates the sea of red at BDS be will changed over night for this game, you are greatly mistakened. I have never sold my UGA ticket and would not have sold it this year and gladly attended this year with an upgraded seat, had it nor been taken from me. You guys that can't understand that and keep bashing me for my stance can kma.
I'm done here.

If people keep just believing that nothing will ever change and give into it, it will never change. I renewed my 2 season tickets, and I will at least get 2 to that game at MBS. I will try to get 4 or 6 to that game. If all season ticket holders act similarly, then the stadium will be overwhelmingly gold. (or at least gold/navy/white) I am not trying to bash you. I am only saying that the only way for the culture to be changed is if we start changing it.

Dear God, we have the cheapest freaking fanbase in America. For a school where 42 out of each 100 is a millionaire .....
Those two things are not unrelated you know. Millionaires don't really count much anymore when you have kids on the team making that...that term has outlived its usefulness. We need more billionaires (or better) to move the needle.

No, same price as last year, same "number of games" in the season ticket package.
Both this year and next year have six of our seven "home" games paid for in our season ticket package.
This year our home game against Florida state was not in the season ticket package, next year the UGA game will not be in the season ticket package.
If either of those games would have been included in either of the packages, the cost of season tickets would be higher.
